The Sims 4 Strangerville Game Pack
Guide to DLC Additions and Gameplay Features
The Sims 4 Strangerville releases worldwide starting on February 26, 2019. The Game Pack features a new military career and its namesake location of StrangerVille, which has a theme of the American southwest in a town near a military base, much like Area 51. The pack is clearly inspired by Stranger Things, a popular Netflix series (that you should totally watch!).
Strangerville is a new town your Sims can live in, featuring 11 customizable lots. Click here for a guide to navigating the town with more pictures. There's a lot of strange activity in Strangerville, with government agents, scientists, a military presence, and tinfoil-hat wearing conspiracy types who are probably justified in their paranoia. Clearly something is amiss, given the Sims who seem to be mind controlled and pledging allegiance to Mother (Spoilers). This GP's launch features a four-part comic that is being released bit by bit (see here).
Explore My Mods! Color Picker for Builders, Seasons Tuner, Dine Out Reloaded and a Gameplay Overhaul! Like other modders, I've been working to make The Sims 4 a better game. Check out my many mods here!
Solving the mystery in this town will reveal what's really up, and by completing the storyline you'll - at least to some degree - help snap everyone out of it. There may be a reward for doing so, as well. It seems to involve some exploration of crash sites, a laboratory, and may require you to protect your Sim from whatever's got the others mystified. In the trailer we do see military Sims using some neat gadgets (geiger counter and goop sprayer below) that may relate to all of this. I'll update with more, but for now we have screencaps of new stuff that can be seen in the trailer. I'll start video and text-guide coverage immediately on release day.
Military Career
The new Military Career is a track that does allow Sims to work from home, much like the Gardener from The Sims 4 Seasons Expansion Pack. Tasks typically revolve around your Sim becoming fit, but may change later in the career. When it comes to the mystery of Strangerville, the military Sims may have unique opportunities to make progress in the storyline.

StrangerVille Cheats
I've compiled a short list of ways to use The Sims 4's cheat console to benefit yourself using features exclusive to Strangerville - Click to see Strangerville Cheats. The military career promotion, if that's all your looking for is simply careers.promote military as one might expect.
A guide to the second and third (final) act of the StrangerVille Mystery aspiration. Includes information on rewards you receive for completing the Aspiration and using the source of the infection to your benefit.

You mean the mystery aspiration? It's called Hero of StrangerVille, which doesn't offer much other than making you seem cool to people and regaling your tales of the heroism you did in uncovering the mystery and solving it.
What I really want to know is this: if I were to have the game pack installed, could I play the game normally without the infection spreading to say, the city? That's what I didn't like about vampires, how it had to be part of your game so I don't want to buy this one if it will be the same. So basically can u play a normal game in a different world without having to solve the mystery or the infection spreading? Thx x
I have it, currently playing a save with a household in Willow Creek. Have not seen anything weird at all. Looks like the events are isolated to Strangerville. Also, once you've played all the way through the Strangerville story, the Strangerville zone becomes just another normal place to live-- but there is a way to reset it so you can play another sim through it if you want.
You might be able to spread it manually (if you wanted to). Sure I've seen a "dare to eat bizarre fruit" (or similar) interaction, probably mischief; and when I took an infected sim on a trip to another neighbourhood they still suffered from zombie episodes.
It is a mischief interaction. Your sim needs to have at least one Bizarre Fruit in their inventory, they will 'give' the fruit to the target sim who will take it and eat it right there...and so the infection spreads.
Also, random FYI: Vampires can get the infected trait by biting an infected sim, even if the sim they bite is acting normal (found this out the hard way on the first night); so Strangerville is probably a bad place to go out snacking.
You lose control of most interactions with your sims. Gives you the Possessed Moodlet for 4 hrs. Unlocks special social with other unpossessed and possessed sims. It is part of the story line and has implications later on..spoilers, so I'm not explaining this bit.
I'm not sure what you mean, the links in the Guide above take you to a full coverage of all the pack has to offer, spoilers included, there's nothing else to know!
No, Strangerville is a stand alone game pack for The Sims 4. The next Game Pack will be a completely different theme. Why did you think there would be more? (Just curious.)
I'm planning to get Strangerville tommow and I have a question about the Military track. I was wondering if the special interactions, like sparring, stay if you change Careers, or if they pulled a Get to Work and made them unusable. An example is the Scientist Career. If you change jobs, even after Level 10, you can no longer use the Invention Station or upgrade inventions. It's like quitting the job makes your Sim suddenly stupid and they lose all the scientific knowledge and skills accumulated over the course of their career. Not realistic, reasonable or convenient in the slightest.

I have much more to come, since you can actually write a few guides about this pack!
Calling all Blender Users
Blender has been incredibly useful in video production, so I made my own Physics and Simulation Improvement Addon that lumps a ton of unique tools into one compact interface.
Sims 4 Snowy Escape
The Sims 4 Snowy Escape launches November 13, 2020 and my coverage has started. Until I get my review ready, you can learn about the following:
There is a new platform tool in The Sims 4. There's also a new Sentiments system, but it'll take some time to create a guide to that. Players can also use rental lots in any world now by changing lot types of builds in manage worlds.
Best Mods in Sims 4
I've created a massive List of The Best Mods in The Sims 4 that should be very helpful to new players and those who have not yet explored modding and how much it can do for your gameplay.
Readers who use adblock or those who'd like to thank me for my efforts can now pledge $1/$5 monthly via Patreon. This helps a lot with server costs and provides some stability for my business.
I now have a guide page to Tiny Living Stuff where you can learn about Murphy Beds, the new death, as well as the lot bonuses you'll receive if you manage to keep the size of your lot down with this new pack's Tiny Home Lot Type.
Let's Play Playlist
New I now have a guide to Making Super Sims in The Sims 4. Look for a text version within the next 72h. It won't have THAT much more info but it will help out as a checklist.
This was inspired by a series, "Let's Play a Super Sim" in which I start at toddler and gradually take on the major bonuses. Here's a link to each part for people who are interested. You can also see the Let's Play as a Playlist on Youtube.
The Sims 4 Discover University has been announced for November 15 for PC/Mac and December 17 for Xbox and Playstation 4 consoles. Click to learn more about the pack, see my summary of the livestream or read our FAQs below.
