Improving Sims 4: The past month, I've spent every day tinkering The Sims 4, making quality of life improvements, gameplay changes, and new difficulty settings for the game. If you'd like to learn more about my project, visit the post on Patreon where you can download it now.
On November 13, Sims players will receive a free patch for The Sims 4 which includes a few new features along with tons of bug fixes and improvements (hopefully). When the patch notes arrive, I'll post them here and link to an official source. For now we don't have tons of details on how things work, but we've seen the new tools, career and first person mode in action. I'll link to youtube summaries I did that describe the patch features for now, so you can see what's ahead.
During this livestream, the new terrain functions were introduced and examined in detail. Click here to see the text guide I've made that teaches you to use Terrain Tools. Players will be able to make very large hills, small dips and everything in between. This will give builders many more options for how they create houses, as different elevations can be used. It'll take a while to get used to it, but they're very powerful. The impact of terrain caused them to make modifications of how rooms are defined, allowing entire blocks to be moved around and resized as needed.

A style influencer career was announced during the Maxis Monthly livestream for October. This career will have two branches, and Sims who make it to high levels will be able to influence the fashion choices of Sims in the game. This will go wonderfully with Get Famous, but also fits nicely into the base game and will help with ugly Sims (or make more of them) so it's nice of the developers to give it freely to everyone.

The most recent gameplay livestream introduced the Sims 4 Get Famous' Celebrity system, which will allow Sims to achieve fame and purchase powerful perks while maintaining their reputation. Toward the end, a first person mode was announced (see a guide only to First Person Mode Here. This will allow players to see the game world through their Sims' eyes, and special control functions have been put in that will allow you to interact in a limited way during this mode. Look toward the end for the First Person announcement.
Stay tuned. A lot is coming all at once with the Get Famous Expansion Pack also releasing on November 16. I'll be covering everything, but it'll take some time. I should have a lot out in the first week, so stop by again. Thank you all for reading.
