Do you talk to your simmies?
« on: October 12, 2009, 12:36:23 PM »
I thought I open a new topic as to how many ppl talk to their sims.  I do, way too much.  :P

Last night I was trying to age up my toddler, have a birthday party, but everyone else in the house was too hungry.  I was trying to avoid that moodlet of being "too stuffed" but was having a time getting 3 other family members to cooperate and bring tot to the stupid cake.  >:(  Hubby came in and asked if I was okay.  :D  Guess I should keep my hollering at the monitor to a minimum.  :D

So how many of you guys talk to the monitor?

Guilty here too.  I yell at them when they go do something else then what I had wanted them to.  Thank goodness my office is in a quiet part of the house where no one else goes generally or someone would lock me up in a rubber room.   ::)

I don't talk but I have been known to yell at them from time to time.  I did alot more yelling in Sims 2.  Sims in S3 are better behaved!  :)

I do talk to them, but not really like talking.
It's more like some kind of thought pattern that comes out in whispers  :-[
Think of it as thinking out loud (TOL  ;D)

Ha-Haa...yes, I sometimes yell when they don't listen to ME!  How dare they not listen to me, those Sims can be soooo independent sometimes!  :o  It's more like a one word commentary for me it's more like, Aww... c'mon... NOOooo... Whaaat... Stooop...Lord! ...etc... >:(  Similar to what Kreathyr said, sometimes my mood is quiet and I'm tired  so I only mind push these thoughts at the computer screen  8), hmmm maybe that's why I get headaches sometimes, he hee.  ???  ;)

Happy Simming!

This really cracks me up - like I said in my inventory post - I was sitting on my couch with my laptop saying "Are you serious??"
"What are you doing you idiot!"  :o

Then I got some moodlet I had never seen before, so I started laughing so hard.. (trying to remember what it was now) but anyway, here I am sitting on my couch just dying laughing.. when my dog comes running down the stairs and jumps up on me as if to say "WHAT on earth is so funny??"

That's him on my icon, my lovable and cute (stupid, but cute) dog..  :)
I will love him and squeeze him and pet him and call him George!!

I know this is old, but I had to respond.

Talk, more like screaming and hollering.  I keep calling them you stupid idiot.  Now I have a dog that is turning into his name sake.  Not good.  Glad for the most part that no one is home when I'm playing otherwise they would think I'm nut.  Actually, my brother already does, just cause I play the game.

Talk, scream, whatever.   ;)

My most frequent comment is "Yes, that's exactly what I told you to do.  Wait, no it isn't, stupid."   >:(

I'm guilty of this - "go feed the baby, no not after you have made the bed and wash the dishes(neat trait  ::) ), now!"

and since pets has come out - "say hi to your party guests, yes the puppy is cute, no don't cancel the action cue to 'awww' over the puppy, say hi to the guests.. ugh"

I'm also guilty for copying their actions in CAS, especially when you are leaving and they wave their hand and say zuzu (?  susu?  tzutzu?  whatever).

:D

;DI'm glad this thread came back.  No, I'm not any better at yelling at the monitor...but it seems to have gotten worse, not only do I yell at them, I now talk to them also. :P  I have a sim who is bound and determined to get with all the wrong guys who do her wrong and I keep telling her, "See, I told you so!"   ::) ;D  Hubby has learned to ignore my comments, lol.
