Where have all the tourist gone?

Since the patch or showtime itself the only town I have been able to find tourist in is SS so far. Is anyone else having this problem?

I do a "know all sims" cheat to check also (around 3pm each day) and nothing

I've had lots of tourists in my show time town - enough to learn all the foreign songs without traveling!

No issue here. they show up at my singer's gigs.

I think what Blackrosea is saying is that the only town she sees tourists is in Starlight Shores.   She hasn't seen any in any of the other towns so none in Sunset Valley, Riverview, Twinbrook, Bridgeport, Hidden Springs, Lunar Lakes or Appaloosa Plains. 

Has anyone seen a tourist somewhere other than Starlight Shores?

I've seen a few tourists in Sunset Vally...at the lake above Crumplebottom house...can't remember the name of it. Also at the park by the Altos.

I don't have tourist in any other town but Starlight Shores either. I have tested every town today and tourist only show up in SS. I have had them in the other towns before. I have tested Sunset Valley, Hidden Springs, Bridgeport, and Appaloosa Plains  No tourist after several sim days.

This is odd. Until the Showtime Patches, I didn't see any tourists. I only saw them in Bridgeport.

The only town I've really played recently is Sunset Valley, where I've seen just a couple tourists.  There used to be many more.  It does seem to have gone down at about the same time as the release of the first Showtime patch (for me.)

One thing I noticed, even before Showtime, was tht if you had travelled to the other countries, you were more likely to get tourists in your town. Especially those you met while travelling.

I saw a tourist in Sunset Valley today, but I usually play hermit type Sims.. they don't get out much to see who's in town lol

I cannot vouch for pre-Showtime because I don't have a clear recall, but I have seen tourists in Starlight Shores, and now that I have recently started another different game file, in Appaloosa Plains as well. I typically play the game with Twallan's mods, and those tourists are every once in awhile caught by Error Trap and Overwatch in a Stuck Aging error. =)

I also usually have sims who spend all their time in their house, but I'm trying to break that habit for my legacy. Try having a sim perform for tips (instrument, singer, acrobat, magician) because that atracts lots of people and I usually see a tourist or 2 amongst the crowd.

Before Showtime, I always had tourists. Of course, my sim travelled to get nectar for parties and to learn martial arts. When you travel, the people you leet inn these countries come to visit.
Now, I have started using twallan's traveler mod and, as before having the mod, my sim went from Starlight Shores to Bridgeport to work. When she returned home, people she met in Bridgeport were now tourists in her home of SS.

In essence, you need to meet foreigners to get them to visit your town.

I imagine meeting people from other places increases the number of tourists in town, but traveling isn't necessary in order to have tourists at all.  My Starlight Shores sims have never been anywhere, and I've seen half a dozen tourists around town.  (I can't speak to the issue of tourists in other towns, because I haven't played any town but Starlight Shores since Showtime came out.)
