Chapter 2: Surprises

After our wedding, Booker insisted on selling his car. Apparently he preferred traveling by horse anyway. Some rich dealer bought it for §105,000! It was enough to build this:

I think it’s pretty good, the architect we hired wasn’t exactly perfect, but she got the job done. And we even had §30,000 left over.

So in this fabulous new house, we did what all newlyweds did on their honeymoon. Well except we did it….err, maybe in a few unexpected places.

I also have been getting to know Glint 3.0. He’s a very nice horse.

Besides that, Booker has started up cooking.

He wasn’t so good at the start though, sometimes his food would make me sick.

Booker’s ex girlfriend Imogen Pelly called the other day, claiming that she was pregnant with his child. He insisted to both of us that that wasn’t possible as they had never been together in that way. Imogen was so furious that she moved away in a matter of hours. She called later to say she gave birth to 2 girls, Richelle and Jody but we ignored her. We haven’t heard from her since and I am glad because I don’t need a madwoman around claiming she is the mother of my husband’s children.

In the meantime, I may have underestimated my husband’s cooking skills because it turns out that the nausea was due to me being pregnant! Oh the irony…..

I told Booker, and he was very pleased and was always talking to my tummy and giving me massages when my back ached. On the other hand, I was scared out of my mind. How could I have a baby?! I didn’t know about any of this, I barely even saw my own mother. Booker calmed me down, and assured me that we would be fine. In the meantime he bought some pregnancy books to read.

In the books I read that being tired is bad for the baby, so I drank a lot of coffee. I also gave into my cravings. Admitedly, I mostly ate Booker’s cooking which is what I once was what caused me sickness! Oh well, I supposed being pregnant gives you breathing room to be a hypocrite every once in a while.

I went into labor in 1:30 am while I was practicing shuffleboard. I wanted to have a home birth because I don’t want some hospital nurse putting me to sleep and holding my baby before I get to. Booker was no help whatsoever which just added to the hysterics of the moment.

Finally, at 3:39 am, my beautiful son Leo was born. He is friendly and brave. When I held him, it felt like all the pain melted and I went upstairs to put him in his crib.

But when I put him down, my contractions started again! What was happening? I already gave birth! Turns out, Leo has a twin sister. She was born 3:43 and I named her Annabeth. She is artistic and athletic.

Luckily, I had an extra crib just in case since some of my siblings were twins and I’m pretty sure it’s genetic. But I love both my babies so much, and I am grateful for them.

Speaking of love, you know where the love of my life snuck off to while I was having his children? Asleep! Most people would’ve guessed I would be the one to pass out but noooo. Well I guess he’ll just have to meet them in the morning.

Thanks for reading! For a while Courtney couldn’t conceive no matter what I did but after some help from the kind members of this forum she did! Also, somehow my file got corrupt and I had to start over, but it only stopped working right after they got married so nothing major had happened yet. About Imogen Pelly, she actually did have twins but I had decided that Booker wouldn’t be a part of their lives. I know that’s mean, but lucky for me she moved out soon after so everything worked out.  One last thing, I didn’t notice the connection of the names until after I named them. If you didn’t know, they are both names from Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson series. Well Leo is from the spin-off series but same thing really.

Is anyone reading this at all? Right now it seems like I'm writing for barely anyone.

I am! Don't worry, a lot of people read but just forget to comment, or just don't have the time or something. I usually comment on every story I read, but occasionally I'll read the chapter, go away to get a sandwich or something, and then come back completely forgetting to comment. :P But yea it's alright, I think most of us get paranoid like that, like I did when my dynasty got two comments a week after I had posted the chapter. :P You're a brilliant writer, keep it up! :)

Yeah, also reading! I'm really bad at remembering to comment though, which is fairly hypocritical of me seeing as I always wonder if anyone's reading my stories if I don't get comments. Keep writing, it's a really good legacy!

Chapter 3: Nooboo Madness

Please excuse the incredibly redundant title, but it seemed appropriate.

With the arrival of our two little bundles of joy, Booker and I have been kept busy keeping them happy. But we don’t mind since we weren’t exactly expecting taking care of infants to be a one way street. Surprisingly though, they are very easy to take care of and it is not hard to keep smiles on their darling little faces.

When they are sleeping or are just currently content, we take some time to ourselves. I’ve been learning about horse riding through books and just by riding Glint 3.0. I think I’m pretty good so far since I’m already at level seven!

And Booker quit his job in politics. He told me he was tired of all the fighting and drama there so instead he registered as a self-employed painter. Considering he has never painted before in his life he is pretty good at it. He is at level five of painting and level 3 of the career. He also told me the main reason he was taking it up was so he could paint portraits of us right now so when the legacy ends in 10 generations that they can remember how it started. These are my two favorites of his paintings so far:

Some well-wishers from around town sent some lovely cards so Booker wrote them some thank-you notes.

We also got a package from some “Grandpa Watts” who was apparently “electrified to hear about the birth of the twins.” Is this some type of joke? I understand the humor behind the note and whatnot, but neither Booker nor I have any idea who sent the package. My grandparents died before I was born and Booker hasn’t given any of his relatives our address, and he doesn’t even have a Grandpa Watts. After some brief hesitation, we opened the box and found identical dolls each labeled for the twins. The one for Annabeth was named Percy and Leo’s was called Piper. I was hesitant on giving the dolls to my babies, but they seemed to like them and no harm was done so I couldn’t see a reason to give them away.

And even with all that’s going on, me and my husband (I love saying that!) still keep our romance alive.

But soon enough, the twins’ birthday surprised us and we didn’t get to celebrate properly with a cake. Oh well, at least we were there with our party blowers.

Sparkles…

And here are my little angels!

Let the toddler training begin!

Thanks for reading! Annabeth’s doll is named after the character Annabeth’s boyfriend in the Percy Jackson books. Leo’s is named after Leo’s friend Piper in the Percy Jackson books but now that I look at the names side by side I realize that Leo and Piper were married in the Charmed series! Haha, I thought that was a funny coincidence. Also, I’ve wanted the hairstyle Annabeth has for a long time, but I didn’t want to buy it since I only had 155 simpoints. But I say Annabeth and it looked perfect on her so I just bought it anyway. I only have 55 simpoints left now, but it was worth it. ;D Oh and if you were wondering, I didn’t do anything to get the multi-gender twins except for fertility treatment.
