The Fireheart Legacy: Please Move to Graveyard

The Fireheart Legacy

This is my first real challenge attempt and I thought a legacy would be good because it is not as strict as some of the others and I am not really good at reaching mandatory goals. I've had this idea in my head for a while, and I'm finally putting it into action! The name is from the Warrior series, which is about these warrior... cats. That sounds really weird, but it is also really cool. I don't have anything planned out so I'm just going to enjoy the ride. I hope you will too!

Prologue: An Explanation

This is the beginning, and the end. This is the closing of one door and the opening of another. This is what I’ve been waiting for my whole life.

I used to be a Barbie doll. I was dressed up and used for my family’s needs. I was put on the covers of newspapers to put my family in a better light. I was fake, trapped, and alone. My siblings had been brainwashed by my parents into actually enjoying celebrity life. They were nasty, manipulating people who I couldn’t stand. I was like a caged animal.

So I rebelled. I went to wild clubs with a fake I.D and came home wasted out of my mind at 2:00 am. My stupid celebrity parents were blamed by the public for too many nannies and not enough love. They were public faces of hate.

But even though I seemed like a rebellious girl out of control, I really wasn’t. I was scared. Every night I knew exactly what I was doing, and I knew exactly who was watching. I just wanted real parents who loved me and told me it would be alright, or at least ones who noticed me enough to make me feel something. Instead I got corporate monsters that only cared about fame and money. Finally, I ran away from the grey pollution of Bridgeport to the lovely skies of Appaloosa Plains.

So here I am, finally dressed in something I picked out and in something I’m comfortable in. I finally get to make my own decisions and decide who I want to be around. Here, the tabloids don’t care who I am or what I do, because that isn’t my life anymore. I look out into this field and I don’t see a big patch of grass that I wasted my money on like so many other founders. Instead I see a clean slate that I am ready to start writing on.

Most importantly, I am no longer silly little Petunia Simon. That was the name my parents picked out, a name I had always hated and never fit me. Now I am Courtney Fireheart, and this is my story.

Chapter 1: So Much with So Little

This is my wardrobe.  I know you are looking at my hair for my formal and sleepwear in distaste; you are probably wondering why I even have a formal gown at all! For the hair, it is very uncomfortable to wear a ponytail to bed. And for the formal, I know I don’t like being girly but that doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate a nice dress if it looks good. And I figure if I’m starting a legacy I might get invited or even host a fair amount of parties. Plus when you wear a dress then it is common courtesy not to wear an everyday ponytail with it.

My first day in a new town went by…fast. Well not at first I guess. I was lucky enough to move to a place where a taxi costs next to nothing; in Bridgeport they almost cost as much as dinner. I hauled a cab and asked the driver if he would be kind enough to just give me a little tour of the town. I expected some type of jab about not being a tour guide, but he just smiled and said “Sure”. I guess things really are different here.

We get to the north of town, and I see a beautiful house with a man standing next to a beautiful horse. I ask the driver to stop there and to let me out. He chuckles, and tells me not to waste my time as the Singleton brothers don’t answer to any female. But I’m not there for a man, so I ignore him.

If I was going to say hello to the horse, I might as well meet the owner first. We shook hands and he introduced himself as Booker Singleton.  We discovered that we both loved the outdoors, which was a nice conversation starter.

I tell him about how nice I think his horse is. He seemed to have been staring at me rather intensely. I look up, and I meet his eyes under those dark glasses. My heart feels like it is ready to melt.

I ask his sign, he is a Cancer and I am a Scorpio. I’ve read about signs before, and I know for a fact that those are compatible signs. I also get up the nerve to ask if he is single and he is! My heart is literally about to jump out of my chest.

I guess the cab driver was wrong, because when I finally kissed him he seemed to return it. We progressed from there and were soon going steady.

Everything was going so fast, but this was love so there was no time to waste. We talked and kissed until finally… I proposed. I know it is not regular for the woman to propose, but I am not very traditional anyway. Booker didn’t seem to mind, because he said yes!

I couldn’t help it; I leapt into his arms out of excitement. There was one thing that was bothering me though, what would he think when he saw all I had was an empty plot of land? All legacies have spouses move in with them, but I wish I could’ve just lived with him. I decided to ask him to come with me to my house so he could really decide if he was ready for me.

When we got there and he looked around I was afraid he would refuse, dump me, and drive away. Instead he said this:

“I love it.”

I can’t believe what I’m hearing. “Really?” I ask in disbelief.

“Yes! Courtney, my whole life I’ve just had everything handed to me. Now I actually have a chance to prove that I can build something of my own.” He explains. “This is what I’ve been waiting for, and I’m ready.”

Well that in itself makes me so happy that we decide to have a private wedding right then and there. So we exchange our vows.

Put on our rings.

And have our first kiss as husband and wife.

We decided to bring his horse, Glint 3.0, with us. Booker insisted that his brother Rodney would be fine on his own, and had been thinking of moving out anyway. We were about to go back and get him, but he came on his own anyway. I guess he didn’t want to be away from his owner too long.

Later that night I we watched the stars together arm in arm. We didn’t have much, but we had each other. And as corny as that sounds, it was enough.

Thanks for reading! It was incredibly easy to get Booker to fall for Courtney. Do I even need to tell you what will be in the next update? Lol. (Think nausea.) Also I personally love that picture of Courtney saying her vows, what about you? :D Also, special thanks to Fez for helping me out with some collage trouble I was having! ;D

I don't read many Legacies but when you commented on my Building a City I noticed your  "plug" I don't know if you meant to do that, but I realized "Oh hey you have another story" and decided to give it a try. Thanks for the "plug" because I love this story.

P.S I think the comment said something about you building a house for you story.

Thanks!  :D I haven't done public weddings in a while, or even weddings at all for the last few months. I find that sims eloping has more romance.

Haha, I actually didn't mean to, but I guess I did anyway! Thanks! It was about a house since I am not the best builder.
Congratulations Courtney and Booker! I see nooboos in the next update, right?
