Chapter 5: Changes

Well enough was enough, I fired our builder. The house was nice and all but it really didn’t fit our needs. Instead we hired a new builder named judewright and she built us a new wonderful house!

Now that the kids have learned all their toddler skills we have all found things to do to pass the time without teaching them their basic skills. Booker has reached level 5 of painting but is only at level four of his career. He really wants to be able to paint pictures to hang up in the house, but we both decided it would be best to wait until we could afford to keep the ones we liked.

I also reached level 9 of horse racing. It’s tiring for me and Glint 3.0 but we both enjoy it. We’ve actually become best friends from all the time we spend together.

Annabeth has discovered the peg box. I didn’t even know that toddlers could gain levels through it but I guess they can because she has maxed it out. I read somewhere that this could start her off at level 3 of logic when she’s older so I guess this is a good thing.

Meanwhile Leo has taken an interest in the block table. It doesn’t give him any levels as far as I know, but he does seem to enjoy it. Although I think it might just be that he likes to chew on the blocks.

But soon enough their birthdays arrived and the cuddly toddler phase was over. Leo went first, with Booker helping him with the candles.

Of course the first thing he wanted to do was eat cake, but I made him come back and cheer for his sister.

This time I helped Annabeth.

After their cake they both practically begged for a shopping trip and haircuts. Given the clothes they aged up in I understood and happily agreed. We made sure to get clothes in their favorite colors. Here’s the result:

Annabeth’s interest with the peg box came out when it she aged up to be a genius. Leo is more eccentric, and I’m still not sure how I feel about that. Obviously it will be a little worrying as a mother since I’m sure he’ll want to be dabbling with an invention table soon. Oh well, we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.

With the kids in their new rooms and sound asleep by 9:00 the house seemed….quiet. I was so used to hearing the toddler giggles that it was almost eerie without them. When I looked in the nursery it looked so dark and empty, it made me a little sad.

…Yet somehow I don’t think the nursery will be empty for long.

Thanks for reading!

Chapter 6: The Second Pregnancy

Well the cats out of the bag, I’m pregnant again!

I told Booker and he was naturally ecstatic.

I told the kids too, although I seem to have misplaced the pictures I took of that. They seemed happy but also a little hesitant. I guess it is a bit weird to find out that your mom is pregnant right after your birthday and before you’ve even had your first day of school. Oh well, I’m sure they’ll get over it sooner or later.

While I love feeling the new life grow inside of me, it gets a little dull just sitting around reading pregnancy books all day. I try to read them outside to make it a little better, but it doesn’t do much.

Booker and I both want a boy so I have started eating apples. I know that doesn’t seem to do with anything but I remember my nursemaid telling my mother to eat apples during one of her pregnancies and then I had a new baby brother so it’s worth a shot.

In other news the kids have really gotten into their skills, inventing and logic. I was all for taking them on a trip to the bookstore, but it’s pretty obvious that they are both more into the physical side of their skills. Annabeth is already too skilled for the first logic book anyway, and Leo has invented a few things himself. It is a bit worrying for them to be so close to fire and dangerous chemicals with the invention table and chemistry set, but there is a shower right there so that puts my mind a little more at ease.

The main problem is that Annabeth always gets so frustrated when her potions don’t work out right, and it doesn’t help with Leo laughing at her singed state.

So instead I suggested that she give painting a try. But even then she proclaimed that her paintings were “dumb” and she couldn’t do anything right.

I have to admit that it does seem a bit silly for her to give herself so much stress over skilling when she’s only a child, but she is convinced that she has to do everything perfectly. If I didn’t know better I’d say that she is a perfectionist. I finally convinced her to just relieve some stress by playing in the sandbox with her brother. That seemed to take her mind off of things for a while.

Booker has also started to take over the care of Glint 3.0 while I’m getting a massage or reading or whatever. It’s nice to see them bonding again.

We also adopted a cat to keep me company in my state of boredom. The shelter had named him Alex, but I think that’s a weird name so I changed it to Xavier. Isn’t he cute?

Unfortunately I didn’t get enough time to fully bond with my new pet. That night after my shower I went into labor!

The kids and Booker were already asleep so I was on my own. I wasn’t really in any condition to walk up the stairs to wake them anyway. I managed to get myself to the living room so that my baby’s first sight wouldn’t be a toilet but after that there was nothing else I could do accept scream.

When the sparkles finally engulfed me all I could wonder is if I would be getting the boy I wanted or if a little girl would surprise me.

Haha, finally it’s my turn for cliffhangers! Oh and the cat’s name actually was Alex at first, which was a little weird. Also who’s point of view would you like the next chapter to be in, Booker’s, Annabeth’s, or Leo’s?

Thanks! And I am looking forward to writing it from her point of view since I have developed her character a bit more than the others. (in my head of course :P )

Chapter 7: A New Perspective

Hi, Annabeth here! You know me right? Second born of Courtney and Booker Fireheart? Leo’s twin?  That ring any bells?

Oh I get it, you just want to know about the new addition to our family don’t you. Fine…

Did anyone say triplets? From left to right this is Conner, Travis, and Luke. That’s right, a few nights ago when the rest of us were asleep Mom gave birth to my three little brothers. That means she doomed me to be their only girl child since for her lifetime wish Mom decided she would only have 5 kids. Even our pets are boys.

It’s not that I hate my new siblings or anything; it’s just that knowing I’m going to be one of the only girls around here for a while isn’t really something I like to celebrate. And my parents practically spend all their time coddling them. The worst part is that they don’t even need to! They have this special swing so that they are pretty much always happy but my parents are still intent on either playing with them or making stupid faces at them when they’re in their swings.

Okay, I know that it’s stupid to be jealous of them since they aren’t even toddlers yet but it’s still unfair don’t you think?

Anyway Leo and my first day of school was the other day. We sat together on the bus since we didn’t know anyone and we both agreed to stick together as much as possible.

So of course when we actually got to school I listened to the teacher and did all my work while Leo spent all his time making new friends! Ugh he’s so annoying sometimes.

Nevertheless when we got home we did our homework together since it gets done a lot faster that way.  But I made him let me use the desk and for some reason I finished first. Oh well.

3 days later our whole class went on a field trip to the police station. They didn’t show us much though, so it wasn’t that interesting. The best part was when Leo accidentally locked one of the officers in a prison cell. At least he said it was an accident…

We also got this weird police badge thing. I think Leo gave his away but I hung mine up in my room.

In other news Mom decided to turn the previously unfinished attic into a play area for us! It’s really cool with lots of toys, a TV, a computer, and a bunch of sleeping bags in case we ever have a sleepover. Leo and I have been playing up there a lot. Leo especially likes the block table which seemed to amuse Mom for some reason.

I also have started to use the costume chest. I realize that it would probably be a better use of my time to work on my logic skill then pretend to be an astronaut in a costume that would kill me in actual space since it doesn’t have an oxygen tank or anything. It’s just that logic has been so frustrating lately. I’m sick of reading books about it, no one ever wants to play chess with me, and I keep failing at discovering potions and finding stars. So for now I think I’ll just enjoy my childhood.

Thanks for reading! Sorry this is mostly just a filler chapter but did you like Annabeth’s point of view? Leo is up next! Also I decided that once the triplets are children I’ll put up the heir poll and hopefully everyone will be able to have seen all of the kids’ different personalities. I also had an extra picture of Courtney watching one of the triplet’s in their swings but I guess it didn’t take the picture or something, sorry.

Hi again here is a little extra video of the triplets in their swings. For some reason there isn't any sound though, sorry about that. :(

Wow!  I've been stalking reading this story for quite a while, and I must say, it's excellent! Triplet boys?!  That'll be hard...both on the parents and poor Annabeth.  At least she gets the luxury of being older than them, so (for a while, anyway), she'll be able to boss them around!  That's what I did!

Sorry for the poor typing skills; I'm on a mobile device.

Thanks, I'm glad you've come out of the shadows! I'm sure Annabeth will be bossing around everyone no matter their age in comparison to her's. ;)

I never thought of that! My only sibling is my younger sister and she used to steal my clothes all the time back when we were much closer in clothing size.
