I guess my gameplay is a lot like samoht's.  I'm more of a laid back kind of player and my simmies know I'm a very leinent sim god. :D  I usually like to play with a goal in mind.  The game where I got Agnes Crumplebottom to bring back her dead hubby was great, until I actually brought him back, then I lost intrest.

Rarely does my families have more than 2-3 kids.  My coordination and tolerance just isn't that good anymore.  :D  Plus I kinda like to keep up with the kids once they're out of the house and on their own...with one exception when one of Brooke's daughters left her baby girl with her elder parents to run off and get married to her no-good, moochy boyfriend.  Now that upset me...sp imitating RL I guess.  I never went to the house they live in to see if they are ok. :P

I really like giving them the things they wish for, makes for more happiness points which is one of the things I strive for in the game.  I'm a little different than my sister as I don't mind starting a sim from scratch...seems like the more successful they are, the more boring they are to play.  Once they hit that $100,000-200,000 mark, there's just not much use to play them much anymore.  I get them into big impressive houses and then can't find anything else to do with them.

I'm definitely a "go with the flow" kind of player, hence this is the main reason I don't play challenges.  I'm just not a rule follower, at least when it comes to the sims.

And this is probably the main reason why I don't excell at them!  And probably why I like Legacies so much.  I like to random roll for traits, and see what the game hands to me.  And then figure out how I'm going to make that work.  To me that's more of a challenge than picking my own in order to reach a certain goal.

But I do enjoy challenges simply because they introduce me to parts of the game I may not have even thought about before.

Did you happen to catch the last event I scheduled yesterday? You might like it. It will be totally unique compared to anything offered yet to Tournament players.

I also do a lot of testing and confirmations for the Guide and the Forum.  I usually have several games saved and one of them will have a Sim that can test almost anything.  I also have screenshots of EVERYTHING!  ;D

Wow, you must have a supercomputer to do all those things.  Having several games saved... You mean in one neighourhood (which could give troubles when aging/story progression is on), or multiple neighbourhoods in the main menu?

Haha, after I've read a post of one that found the trick to copy ambrosia, I don't necessarily need a cook Sim in every generation. :P

I control every moment of my sims' lives.  At least, as much as possible.  =)  I play the game for about a month after each expansion pack to master the new features.  So I usually play one sim at a time, especially with World Adventures, because it's too difficult to control a sim that is adventuring and a sim that isn't, although it's nice to get the extra time with two sims and that happiness reward.  I tend to get bored with families, especially because I usually play on epic lifespan and they stay babies and toddlers for so long.  At least when they're kids they can cook a perfect pie for a +50 moodlet when eaten.

The only reason I play the game right now is to work on challenges (so, thank you, challenge gods  ;))...  I don't think I'd ever do a legacy though, it's silly but I get so bored having to plop everyone down in front of the mirror and dresser because they're ugly, bald, and wearing mismatched clothing.  I don't need everyone to look a certain way, I just don't want them to be eyesores!

Yes, it's a pretty nice computer purchased specifically for gaming and work on the internet.  I've got an awesome 22 inch LCD monitor and when combined with my updated graphics card, it gives me a gorgeous Sim experience!  :)

Each of my save files is a different neighborhood.  I only play one household in each neighborhood/file.

Mostly I'm a challenge player. I like that I'm forced to play all the diffenrent ways there are in the game. But I also like to play legacy type. My only problem in all the styles I play is that I like to write stories about it all, but I'm a slow writer and mostly I get mad at myself because I forgot to take the right pictures.

I like to micromanage if it's a challenge or else I'm pretty happy if my Sims can go on the toilet by themselves so I don't have to tell them when I'm concentrating on something else.

Yes, before The Sims 3 arrived I read a few things about that they are going to be more independent when it comes to make decicions about toilets and dinner times and such. But still, I'm more tranquil to tell them when it's time myself, because, for example, they don't wash their hands automatically when they finish flushing. It turns out to be that you actually can 'learn' sims that.

Haha, I would find it really funny that when the parent sim would have forgotten to teach the toddler to use the toilet, they will have a hard time to aim in the pot when they have to use it once they reach adult age! :P

I like mixing up and randomness.

I like making the best out of what is at hand, and I'm also enjoying trying to top the charts in the challenges. I have some strategies and hope they pay off.

I don't have a schticke, I'll play what comes. :)

Edit: I Just read the next challenge is completely random. You just read my mind. :)

I went all out and got a gaming machine, updated my memory and got a 26 inch monitor.  It really makes for nice gameplay and I am blind as a bat anyway.  LOL

I figured if I am going to play these games, I don't want to have to worry about upgrading for a very long time.

I have done like Pam has and gone back and played my BB1 families, they are still a mess.  I like to fix existing houses up and improve on them and then move on.  I get restless sometimes.  I have one game I have five or six families in, boy is that confusing.  I try to play one family a whole session and then change households and go to the next and so on.  Kinda neat to see what they have been up to while I was gone.
Is it true that cannibals don't eat clowns because they taste funny?

Well I made my Sim look SOMEWHAT like me and my boyfriend. All our traits and likes our similar to ours, so I made it kind of realistic. I say kind of because there is no way I would be CEO of a company, Lol. He's growing in the law enforcement career and I'm in the business. We have two twin girls, still little kids. I changed my settings to make my sims last longer, so they have longer years. I also have a second generation game of myself in a different world, so I'm playing as my daughter. We were both rich in the other world so I just made her unemployed and used the cheat to make her a millionaire. She has a nice house by the beach and she's gonna spend her time traveling and doing adventures.

I wonder how many Sims players use the game to do things they could never do in the real world...  ;)

Probably all of us.  That's why the game is so popular.

I know I sure do! In RL I'm very shy and quiet staying on the good side of life. In the sims, I break couples up, Steal things, kill people, in general everything I don't do in life, I do on the sims! It's very freeing!
