Weird Problem glitch help

so I go to load my game on the Ps3 and when I had saved before one of my sims was in the middle of cooking .. so when I loaded it she was still doing it .. all of a sudden she stopped and is now glitched with the mixing bowl attached to her hand she is still able to do everything else like shower, sleep but seems to be unable to cook .. she preps the food then when she goes to actaully cook it she stomps her foot like there's some reason she is unable to finish .. not sure why either since everyone else in the household can still cook fine ... HELP please

Would resetting your sim help?  On Xbox we click on the mailbox to reset any sim in town.  I used this when my sim gets stuck between walls or stuff like that.  I don't know if PS3 has the same thing.

i may have to try that ... i have tried making her have a shower .. it goes away while shes in there but once she out its back .. i have tried sending her to bed .. same thing as the shower .. changing her outfit .. same while in the outfit mode no dish but once we are back to the game there's the dish again but i will give the mail box a try thanks

Hello, I have the playstation version of the Sims 3 and I have also had a character get stuck carrying a mixing bowl that will not go away.  This is what worked for me:

If your household has more than one adult sim, the easiest fix is to kick out the sim with the bowl in his/her hand.  Make that sim move out of the household and the rest of the sims will continue on as usual, as if the glitched sim never existed.  If that sim is too important to get rid of, try reloading your data from before the glitch happened and avoid cooking when too many other sims are crowding around the stove or countertops.  Be careful when the maid is at your house because they will sometimes block your sim from putting the bowl down.  When they are eating let them finish before switching to another action.  Make sure you save your sims in your Studio so you can at least put them in another household if your current sim story is ruined as a result of a glitch.  I hope this helps a little.

That happens to me sometimes.  Sometimes if you highlight the sim it'll recognize she has something in her hand and you can clean up the item and start over.  Or, sometilmes I've just started cooking something different and it fixed itself because the sim had to use both hands to cook.

My daughter had this same problem on the PS3-a bowl stuck in her sim's hand. She did what Breerents said, reset at the mailbox. I can't remember if it's a left click instead of the usual right click or what, but it pops up a list of every sim in town and you chose who to reset. I had a sim stuck standing in the stove and it worked for that too!

This happened to one of my sims, though she had a bar tray stuck on her hand. I left the area and came back to the house and the tray was gone. I didn't think of doing any of these suggestions lol
