Free Stuff at The Sims 3 Store

Hmm, I didn't think to check the in-game store for the free items.  I admit, I assumed with the SimsCamp/Gamescom coming up, as well as some of the troubles they had with the Store, they didn't put it up this week.

At the moment there is the Cubeville Bar Stool and the Dolly Door for free. I would put links but I don't know how to. Both items are from the I Heart The 50's set.

Are you sure those items are for free? When I clicked on the links it said that the Bar Stool cost 75 sim points, and the door 100 points? Or am I missing something obvious here?

These items were free only between August 16 to August 18th, Angélique

Sorry about that.  Yeah, there's usually 2 free items each weekend, Fri-Sun.  Sometimes EA tells us what they are, and sometimes you have to find them for yourself.  This past weekends were the bar stool and door.

I visited the Store earlier this evening, and I discovered that there is a rather extensive sale going on right now, and thanks to a combination of that and the Complete a set discount, I got 12 new items for free!

Ohmy!!!! just went on the sale page ,clicked Best of 2012 Compilation the only premium content I did not have was the Chun Co. Teppanyaki Grill I had 44 of the 111 items already THEY GAVE ME THE SET FOR FREE !! So Happy

Thanks so much for this tip! I completed 4 sets for free! It looks like all sets now show you how much you own, and offer you a discounted price, but the sale sets give it to you for free if you have at least 40% maybe. Awesome

I thought you needed 60% since I have 57% of a set yet I still can't get it for free. Maybe it's how much value you own or something. Very confusing. I managed one set for free, though. Hmm...

Is the set on the sales page? If it's not, I don't think it will give it to you for free.

Ah, that makes more sense. I'll see if I own part of a set on sale. Fingers crossed!

I am pretty sure it varies from set to set.

After a couple weeks, there is couple new free content at the Sims 3, from August 30 to September 1, 2013.

Big Note:  Currently, these items aren't showing up as free.  This happened with the last set, so you may give it a few hours, maybe even a day, for EA to fix the store. 

They are supposed to be free, and you can see the announcement here

Some people are seeing them as free, but a couple others don't.  Double check before getting.  Also, there may be a time zone issue at work for it appearing free or not.
