Townie is being sent to Egypt and France
« on: March 26, 2012, 08:53:44 AM »
My sim's hubbby is being sent to Egypt to learn about  a game, how it is played.

Now, he is being sent to France to get some bottles of nectar.

No problem, but how do I work with my sim, I am thinking she will have to go, am I wrong?
Any tips that can be given to me?

You can send just the hubby, she doesn't have to go, unless you want her to.  Just choose him when you make the trip.

Technically when you moved in the townie into your house, he became your Sim too.  So everything that your Sim can do can be done by him.  No restrictions.  If you want her to go, you can send her and they can do stuff together but the more people involved the more money it will cost to send them.

The other issue with sending both is that the sim with the opportunity may drop it when you send them if you are focused on something with the wife (i.e. having her go to buy something from the bookstore, etc.). So, it's best in these situations to have them go alone. When he returns, she'll still be doing whatever she was doing when he left.

Thanks for the help.   I thought from sending her before they were married that it would still be as if she hadn't left, except this time it would be him leaving and her staying.

I will just send him alone, I am still learning how to do things, dealing with two sims at the same time is enough at home, let alone in another country.

She can stay home and finish decorating it,    ;D

Once your Sim is in another country you will be unable to control the Sim you have at home,so decorating will have to wait until he gets back. But do not worry she won't have done anything while he is gone she will be frozen in time until he returns.

Ratchie,

I did a lousy joke on how I would have her do some house decorating.  My excuse in not making it clearer that I was joking is that I have come down with something, don't care what it is called, just feel like crap.

Anyhow, I am going to send him to France and then after he comes back off he goes to Egypt, lucky sim, it is the seond place I would visit if I had the money to travel.  First is Ireland to hunt up family.

Sorry about that I didn't realise you were joking. Ireland is a beautiful place I am lucky that I live in England so it is practically on the doorstep.
