Building Contests 2012: 6 - An Abstract Interior

You must read the Rules and Instructions Thread first, if you haven't already. Updates have been made.

Your Task:
We've had your Exteriors, and a winner was chosen! So we've decided to see how well you do with an interior, with the added challenge of using the Winning entry, a rather small and themed Llama Heights by Ausette! How abstract can you go on the inside with your furnishings? We look forward to the results! (Ausette has kindly given permission for us to use her lot and has also uploaded a Base Game Version for those of you without all the Content Used, it has been made to match the original as best as possible.)

Specifications:
  • Lot Type: Residential
  • Number of Bed Spaces: The House will need to be a suitable size for 2 Sims (Do not add any sims)
  • Budget: $30,000 - Whatever the value of the Furnished Lot you have, add $30,000 and that is your budget.
  • Lot Size: Large enough to fit the 20x15 Lot
  • Other: You may not alter the Original Shell in anyway, you may only add walls inside the shell and adjust the floor/wall coverings inside. You may place Furnishings only - inside or out.
Optional Specifications:
  • Must be unique, unusual and interesting, be creative etc.

Current Status: You may start at 12:00am on 24th of March - Local Time

Contest Start Date: 12:00am, Saturday, March 23, 2012
Contest End Date: 11:59pm, Thursday, April 5, 2012

This is probably really obvious but I have never uploaded anything from here or the swap shop before. Where do I find Llama Heights in game once I have uploaded it.

Thank you in advance

A Llama of a Different Color

Lot Type: Residential
Lot Size: 30 x 20
Price: Starting - $15,162 / $14,862
         Furnished - $36,518 (+$21,356)
         Unfurnished - $26,818 (+11,956)
Content: All EPs (Including Showtime), All SPs, Free Store Content (Party Flamingo Wall Lamp & Surreal Grilled Cheese Painting - Same set)

Description: A Llama of a Different Color is set up as a studio apartment. This colorful gem has bunk beds, a study area, fitness bars, and a bathroom with the best views in town.

The exterior remains unchanged, except for a few furnishings.

We added a few skilling items to the stair area outside.

An overhead shot to give you an idea of the layout.

The kitchen area, the couch, and the beds along the wall.

The study area, and the television being enjoyed by Mr. and Mrs. Wolff.

Bunk beds...not really the best option for starting a family, but perfect for platonic roommates.

The left side of the room. You can see the fitness bars to the left of the television, the dining table under the window, and a small rock speaker behind the stairs.

The neck of the llama.

Mrs. Wolff demonstrating that the bathroom is reachable and fully functionable.

A Llama of a Different Color is very colorful, and should you find you need more color in your life, you may download this charming starter home here:

Basically anything from Buymode (Playground, Hot-Tubs and Car spots) are fine. As for landscaping... You can't do more landscaping other than what Ausette has done - Unless the Lot you are on is larger that the original, in that case you may landscape the gap of land between the road and the original landscaping of Ausettes Llama. Try to keep it in style as possible. No pools though, that is construction in my books.

Just remember this Contest is for the interior but you are allowed to add some furnishings outside.

Yes, this started after Showtime so it is allowed. The only time you are unable to use certain content is when it has been released Mid-Contest or it is specifically banned in the Specifications for the Contest.

Here's my entry. I used nearly all the allotted budget. I decided to stick to open-plan as much as possible due to the limited space, and utilised curtains and pillars to divide between rooms.

Special thanks to Austette for allowing us to use her design for this competition.
