Hey guys I'm taking an extended hiatus... again. I'm out of ideas to build houses and I don't have as much fun designing homes like I used to; it feels more like a chore. So that's where I'll be, I will probably be back sometime. :P

House: Inside a Llama

Bedrooms: Studio for 2 Sims
Bathrooms: 1
Lot Size: 15x20
Furnished Cost: 44, 409
Items: Amb, LN, Gen, Pets, ST, OL. No Store Content.

Thank you to Ausette for this delightfully creative building shell to furnish!!

Ever wanted to get up close and personal with the insides of a real llama? Well, that would be horribly gross so we acquired the shell of a building shaped like a llama and created the inside to represent that of a real llama!

Floor Plan of the Main Floor:

Can you see the heart, lungs, esophagus, diaphragm, stomach, liver, and bowels? The entrance leads into the liver as all things must travel through the liver within the llama body. The bedroom area is in the left lung where energy is restored, the living area is in the right lung where relaxation and fun happen, the dining area is in the stomach, and the bathroom - you guessed it - in the bowels!

Looking to your left as you enter the Front Doors:

The Gym and Bathroom to the right:

The Bathroom is small but functional:

The Kitchen is built in the head of the llama, since it is where magic is created:

What about the Kitchen sink? It's located in the neck, because that's where we found room for it:

This rendition of Llama Heights Lodge - known as "Inside a Llama" can be downloaded here.

Name:  Love A Llama

Contest #6

Price:  $41,124 furnished, $22, 624 unfurnished

Content:  All EP/SP up to and including Master Bedroom Suite and Showtime  Free item: Year of the Rabbit Picture

For the family with a good sense of humor and an artistic and unique outlook on life, we offer the fun and friendly Love A Llama home.  Why Love A Llama?  Because it's a llama and you're gonna love it!

This home features one bedroom and bath, a spacious, eat in kitchen with all appliances including dish washer and garbage compactor and a top of the line range.  The living room is modern and upbeat yet cozy with a nice tv viewing area, comfortable seating, elegant decor and a high style chess set for your leisure time.  A fully stocked bookcase is just waiting for those quiet moments, ready for you to enjoy.  And let's not forget the underbelly of the llama with a modern hot tub, barbecue and lounge chairs.

Let's take a look inside, shall we?

Outside we see just how unique our house is!  Ready for the budding artist, or just time to take a break in the sun, this entrance is sure to please.  Sit awhile and enjoy a glass of lemonade.

Stepping inside, we see our lovely living/lounge area to the right.  Note the roominess and style of the surroundings.  All tastefully done in shades of red, white and black.  We are particularly pleased to be able to have some of the famous artist, Kate Sterling's works in our home.  Note her "Circles" over the modern chess table.  We are very grateful to her for sharing her works with us.

The kitchen is well appointed and very cozy.  Perfect for a gourmet, 5 star cook!  There is even a computer desk and computer for working out her recipes, or typing up the latest book.  Here also are the stairs to the llama head room, or should I say bedroom?  Yes!  It's up at the top!

The bathroom is small but definitely adequate with all necessary items.

Surprise!  Don't worry, we've tested this out and that fireman's pole is very easy to climb up! Here we are in the neck of the llama.

At........long.......last......(huff, puff, breathe)....we're at the top.  Ready for a nice nap in the comfy bunk beds?  One of our agents took a little rest here as you can see.  And isn't it beautifully decorated?  Everything you need in a bedroom that is somewhat short on space but long on style.

After all this, perhaps it's time for a quick dip in the hot tub?  Follow me!  Going down is so much fun!  Wheeeeeeee.   Ahhh,  peaceful and quiet.  A lovely spot for a dip.

I think I'll just stay here for a bit.  You can see our agent over there if you have any questions or wish to purchase.  Thanks for stopping by.  Here's the brochure overview.

You must read the Rules and Instructions Thread first, if you haven't already.

Your Task:
We've had your Exteriors, and a winner was chosen! So we've decided to see how well you do with an interior, with the added challenge of using the Winning entry, a rather small and themed Llama Heights by Ausette! How abstract can you go on the inside with your furnishings? We look forward to the results! (Ausette has kindly given permission for us to use her lot and has also uploaded a Base Game Version for those of you without all the Content Used, it has been made to match the original as best as possible.)

Specifications:
  • Lot Type: Residential
  • Number of Bed Spaces: The House will need to be a suitable size for 2 Sims (Do not add any sims)
  • Budget: $30,000 - Whatever the value of the Furnished Lot you have, add $30,000 and that is your budget.
  • Lot Size: Large enough to fit the 20x15 Lot

Building Contest 2012: 6 - An Abstract Interior - March 23, 2012 - April 5, 2012
    Lilygirl!

Congratulations Lilygirl! What a fitting interior to your Llama, such a clever and original idea! You can see Lilygirl's Entry here and download it here.

Lilygirl's Comment:

"When Ausette first posted the llama as her entry for the Abstract Exterior contest I wanted it to win so I could get inside that thing and go nuts! I didn't actually know what I wanted to do with it until I had it sitting in my library for a couple days. Initially, I was going to colour and arrange the furniture to represent the different internal organs but then I thought I might as well bring the floor into it so that things were more obvious. I started with the cyan colour but things became more pink as it made more sense for internal organs.

It was fun to see what everyone else came up with, I love the fact that the neck/head was large enough to include. Thank you to all who voted for me! See you next time."

Congrats Lily! This thread is now open for comments!  :) Thank you to everyone for such a high participation! There were just so many people that had amazing entries it became impossible to allocate votes for!

Congrats Lily!  :)

Zapkid: I liked your entry, but it didn't really fit the theme. It didn't exactly have any particular designs or anything to make it stand out. Next time try using more quirky sculptures and bright patterns with cool designs on them.
If at first you don't succeed, call it version 1.0.
