Sponge bath.
« on: March 23, 2012, 03:42:32 AM »
I noticed that there is a new option to have a sponge bath when you click on the sink is that from Showtime or the new patch. It is handy for starting legacies or dynasties as you do not need to buy a shower at first.

Actually, the Sponge Bath option has been there since the base game was released.  I think maybe it's the Inappropriate trait that can do it.

This reminds of of The Sims 2, where occasionally sims with a very low neat character (which was based on a level value; 1 is diry, 10 is neat and everything in between) did take a sponge bath automatically.

Sims now can do that on command?

Ratchie sims with the inappropriate trait can do it. Even in the kitchen sink lol! I love playing the trait it has many funny social options. Is your sim inappropriate?

Can they do that on vanues as well? It would be hilarious to see how other sims will responce when yours will use a sink in front of a croud.

I'll try that out in real life myself some day perhaps. I'm not quite sure about my traits so I need to do some further testing. :P

Lol Leto! Inappropriate sims so whatever they want. But luckily they shoo the other sims. So if they decide to sponge bath in the kitchen they shoo everyone out. :P

Yes I think he does have the inappropriate trait. As you can all probably tell I have never played a Sim with that trait before. How embarassing that I didn't know that  :-[

Oh well you learn something new everyday.

My Sim now has the option to heckle his own nooboo please tell me that is new.

The heckel is new. But he will have the option to make fun of sims, talk about their problems, clothes and face. Maybe there is more options I have a bad memory lol.

Yes, you can now heckle nooboos, your own or others.

I had a babysitter that insisted on heckling mine. It did not end well.

Just what is 'heckle'? The only definition at Cambridge English Dictionary is "to interrupt a public speaker or entertainer with loud, unfriendly statements or questions". I can't figure out what 'heckling a baby' might mean.  :D
(I'm still on patch 1.29 so I can't try & see, but this made me curios.)

One of the best things I find about sponge bathing is it seems to take less time than a normal bath.  Jessica Willow had it in Hidden Springs so when she was the one in my dynasty trying to sculpt that's what she did to get her hygiene up.

If you want to learn more about Heckling you need to go to the masters. Look up Statler and Waldorf from the Muppets. They are the masters aannndd I've gone off topic.

I've never thought about using the sponge bath before. That would save time in my sculpting on my dynasty.

Possibly more embarrassing for me, as I play Sims with Inappropriate all the time! I haven't seen it because I never use money cheats and building up from scratch is the most fun part of the game for me, so the sink is usually the first thing I sell when they move into a cheap house. I think that might change in future :)

Which trait has the "heckle" option? Is this new patch or just Showtime? I don't have Showtime yet. Did it get replaced with "Steal Candy?"

Heckle is off topic but it's an option for any sim once you have Showtime.  Though I could have sworn I saw it with just the patch.   It's just one of the options like Form a Group or Greet.
