Moodlets disappearing when I send my sim thru portal

Does anyone else have this issue or just me?  I had the genie granted wish for happiness that isn't suppose to go away (no time under it) and when i send my sim thru the portal it disappears.  I have had this happen with the styling moodlet as well when the teen stay home alone oppurtunity came up and it deleted it as well.  So I never use this oppurtunity if my sims has this moodlet lol.

So I tried the styling moodlet and the happiness moodlet again on a different sim to see and they both disappeared on that sim as well..

So is there any way of getting it back once it is gone?

Anytime a character goes away, like Simport, Free Vacation and Boarding School, they lose all moodlets and wishes.  As far as I can tell that's just how it works due to the loss of control.  This is why I never accept a Free Vacation in challenge files anymore. 

The Genie Happiness moodlet is easy to get back with the 30k LTHP.  I don't know what to tell you for the Styling moodlet though.
