*sim-name* feels stronger yet not quite normal?
« on: March 19, 2012, 12:20:54 AM »
ok so my mam (or my current sims gf until i age enough to actually control myself) slept in a coffin and this message popped up, googleing the message, it apears it causes the sim to turn into a mummy, is this true? and if so is it possible to stop her transformation before she becomes a mummy?

p.s. before she becomes and egyptian mummy, because shes already a mother :L

If she hasn't turned into a mummy yet, stop her sleeping in the sarcophagus, and she wont turn into an Egyptian mummy.  If she already has I don't know how to change her back.

I had a ghost on my property who kept sleeping in the sarcophagus and eventually turned into a ghostly Egyptian mummy which was kinda cool if I wanted to do the photo challenges (somewhere the challenge is to have a ghost mummy), but not cool if I wanted my ancestors to remain the same as the day she died.

To turn your Sim back into a Sim again,if she does turn into a Mummy that is, you need to have her sleep in a Blessed Sarcophagus of the Kings. (It's the gold one). Once you have 5 Sarcophagus fragments, you can reconstruct them and you will either get a Blessed Sarcophagus of Kings or a Cursed Sarcophagus of Kings, you'll know you have right one if it's gold.  :)

Another way I've kept my Sims out of the sarcophagus is to rope it off.  The rope is found with the fences in Build Mode.

I never thought of a fence (duh!)  I always build a small room around them, with an all glass wall (for viewing purposes) and fancy spot lights....

A fence would be easier.

HA!

If your sim hasn't already turned into a mummy then you can just stop her from sleeping in it.  But, if she is already a mummy, if you have a fetish about cheats, Egypt is probably where your going to be going a lot.  Or you could just use buydebug and sleep in the blessed sarcouphagus of kings.  I don't think I spelled that right.  Also, I don't know what happens to pregnant sims if they turn into a mummy.  Your sim might be immune to it because the pregnant sims can't starve even with the use of cheats.  They can't seem to get it into their head that they are supposed to burn either.  So, it might work the same way with the mummies.  But I wouldn't take risks.  Well, is it a legacy or a normal game?  Either one you could just turn her back and then have her get pregnant again...
