I tried installing Aikea Guinea's default replacement eyes and default replacement skintone, since the ones that come with the game don't look very realistic, and the original eyes are starting to creep me out. The instructions were,
After installing, simply delete the simCompositorCache.package from My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3. Don't worry, it'll respawn when you start your game.
I downloaded them as .rar files, extracted the .package files with "The Unarchiver", dragged them into the Packages folder found in Applications/The Sims 3.localized/The Sims3.app/Contents/Resources/transgaming/c_drive/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Mods. I the deleted the simCompositorCache.package file, and started my game.
When I loaded my game, I paused it and zoomed in on one of my Sims with Tab Mode. She had both the eyes and the skin, so I played the game as normal, and aged one of my toddlers up into a child. She also got the replacements.
After that, when I went back to the first Sim, she had lost the replacements and had the original ones again. Same with all of my other sims except the one I aged up at the start. If I take them into any kind of CAS, they have the new eyes and skin, but not in play mode. I tried deleting the .package files, redownloading them, and installing them again, but it didn't make a difference.
All other CC and Mods I have installed via .package file works fine.

The girl I aged up at the start (Plum, the black haired girl), and the one who had the replacements for a short time (Coconut, the blonde girl).

After I CAS'd her, Coconut somehow managed to keep the replacements in play mode, although I'm not sure how.
I tried this on their brother, Açai, but that turned out the same as it usually does.

Does anyone use Aikea Guinea's default replacements, or know how to fix this?
