So about 6 months ago I made a family. It's a family that look like those Barbie dolls... I even named them Kristie, Tommy (the one with the bug), and Kelly.

So when Tommy was going to the library, I had him pack a mac and cheese in his inventory before he left. I also made him eat some bread and jam. (He spends the whole day there, hes a bookworm). So when he got there, he spent the whole day there and almost slept over. Then the notice came up its nearly past his curfew, so he got home. Then I remembered he never ate his mac and cheese! (No, he wasn't hungry. Don't ask how, I don't know.) When I looked the mac and cheese was rotten, and he had the "Disgusted" moodlet. I took the mac and cheese out of his inventory, and mad him put it in the trash. Then I noticed he STILL has the "Disgusted" moodlet, so I decided to wait overnight and see if would be gone. It didn't disappear.

^ That all happened about 4 days after he turned into a child.

Now hes a teen, almost young adult! He STILL has the disgusted moodlet. Can somebody help me? I'm using Vanilla TS3.

I made a similar post the other day.  So far, it really hasn't affected my sims mood, but it is annoying.  I guess there is no way to get rid of it, as far as I can tell.  It is one of my sims that I am doing the traitor challenge with.  There is nothing in her inventory at all, it is with her no matter where she is.

Oh well. It doesn't really do much, but it's annoying and they will always have the ugly face on.

If it's just glitched up and you want it away you could do the cheat "testingcheatsenabled true" and shift-ctrl-click on the moodlet and it should disappear.

But if the trigger is still there, somehow, it will keep returning...

If it keeps away, it was stuck somehow.

Erm, but here's the thing... the cheat bar is not showing up even though I do ctrl shift c all at the same time... it used to work but now it doesn't. Its only bugged like this for that family and all the families I use on it.

If you have W Vista you may have to type ctrl-shift-windows-c at the same time.

Welcome to the Forum, sydney511!

Have you tried resetting your Sim?  Although, if your cheat window won't come up, it's no good.

Ctrl+Shift+C
resetSim Firstname Lastname
Enter

Type the reset part exactly as shown because it's case sensitive.  And, of course, put your Sim's name in the Firstname Lastname spots.

Well, if it just won't work right for that specific game maybe you could put the code in at the main menu. It affects every game you play until the Sims 3 is exited.

That's a nice little tidbit you should add to the Guide, Carl.

Sidney- I have experienced a similar glitch with two of my kid Sims before. The problem turned up to be spoiled food in the refrigerator that said my kid was in action with. This may not be the case for you, but it's worth at least looking into it just in case. Here is what you can do:

Have the (affected) kid go to the refrigerator.
Select eat leftovers or quick meal or something.
As soon as the kid opens the door, quickly pause your game.
If there is a spoiled food glitch attached to your kid, you will see the plate of food there.
If you have a plate of bad food, grab it and drag it somewhere where the Sim can get to it.
Unpause your game and send the kid or another Sim to "clean it up."

I hope this helps, but if not, there are a couple of threads on the forum about trash glitches. They might have some information that may help you. Good Luck.

Sydney,

Have you tried removing the moodlet through testing cheats?  I'm curious if it's as simple as that or if the moodlet would come right back.

Usually testingcheatsenabled takes away the cause of the moodlet as well, but it won't work if Sidney can't bring up the cheat window.

Yes, you're right.  I'm just baffled as to how to fix this.
