I wish there was a place on the forum where you could write misc. stories with mods in them ( and mentioning them)

There is a storyboard for miscellaneous stories and people don't talk about mods because of the former forum rule but you've always been able to post the stories regardless of mods.
Origin ID: Ricalynn | Discord: Rica#5389
Current Active Stories: Stayin' Alive: Take 5 - Story about A Grim

Please read and follow the Forum Rules.

Stories: Artie | The Race | Grim Chronicles | Revenge | Licious | Artie's TS4 Dynasty | Grim Rivalries | Speed Dreamin'

What rule are you talking about? I thought mod discussion was allowed everywhere in this forum, not only the Game Modifications board. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Wednesday is right.  When the mod announcement was made, I asked that specific question and stories using mods are now welcome.

I believe Rica is talking about the old Mod rule - the one where we could pretty much say "I use a Mod" but not "I use MasterController".

Now, you can post your story, and say "This story uses Overwatch, AwesomeMod, Global Online Banking Mod, and Buzzler's Build Stuff".

Just for official clarification:  There is a mod discussion forum, where threads that specifically pertain to mods belong.  However, you can discuss mods anywhere on the forum, as long as doing so is pertinent to the topic of the thread.  The off-topic rule was not changed, and still applies to any thread here.

For example:  In a thread about a bug, it is perfectly okay to mention that a certain mod fixes it.  However, it would be off-topic to go on to mention other mods that you use (unless those mods are required by the previous one mentioned, as in the case of Master Controller and it's various modules).  In a story, it would be perfectly acceptable to mention the mods you use to achieve specific effects, but discussing features that you're not using or mods unrelated to the effects in your screen shots would be off-topic.
Old forum mods never die.  We just get archived.
