EDIT-I think I messed up my backup files! I always save 2 or 3 times to make sure it saves. Do you think that's why it didn't work? I've lost 4 hours of real time once cause i forgot to save and the game crashed, which is why I always save 2 or 3 times now.
Yes, that's probably why the restore of previous save didn't work. Even your previous save had the same problem as the current save because you saved it so many times.
Thanks Pam. I followed those directions to the letter, went back to it and I still have 7 people, and they still can't move! I've seen posts where you said you did a clean re-install. Can you talk me through that? I'm not computer illiterate, but I'm also not an expert! I think that may be what it needs cause I've noticed for awhile now when I click the icon it takes awhile for it to open!
If you do a complete reinstall, you'll probably lose this game file. I think that the file is corrupt and if you back it up to install back into the game, you'll still have a corrupted file. When you do a clean reinstall, you have to be willing to give up all of your existing files because of potential bugs and such, which is often what makes a game file run poorly. Check our
Technical Help board for instructions on how to back up your data files and how to uninstall Sims 3, World Adventures, and High End Loft. Once they are all uninstalled, you just install them again with the CDs,
in order of their release. Or online if you purchased the game as an online download. You can certainly try to put your saved files back into the newly installed game, but there's no guarantee that they will work properly.
