Mouse as family member?

At my loading screen where my two sims visible as normal, but there was a third person, or actually animal, a mouse visible. This is very strange, as you can't even have a mouse in the family tree in the first place, but in the second: my sims don't have their pets anymore as they where all taken away because they didn't take care of them, which wasn't possible because for some reason they couldn't interact with their pets.
Besides that, I find it very strange that a mouse was apearing on my screen.

Anybody knows what this means?

Did you use the super 1.32 patch? Apparently there was some extra content leaked through it and maybe that caused this strange glitch?

Super patch? Never heard of it, so probably I haven't installed it. Is it something special?

I don't know a whole lot about it, but it released things like werewolf jaw and nose sliders and non-functional alchemy potions. I think it was either a combination of patches 1.31 and 1.32 or a combination of all the patches. You had to manually install it, though.

I think to know what it is. Probably a cat, sitting in an for me unknown position. I had a cat in the family, once, until the pet vanished out of the family tree, only to exist in the friend list of the members. I once moved a sim to another house and got the option to move the cat with her. And the cat magically reapeard at that other house. I think the mouse is actually the cat.

I did not have any weird animal portraits but on my super glitched out original Starlight Shores game, when I was performing the rites and sacrifices necessary to get it working again...at one point when the 7 member household reloaded there was then an 8th portrait at the top of the list.

Upon reloading them again, she disappeared.

That's weird for it to go all the way back to TS3!
No mice in my family, but sometimes my pets household member icons or replaced by blank silhouettes in every place on the dashboard: in family tree, friends list, and the left-side household members list. Sometimes it's only one of them at a time. I usually just take it as a warning that it's time to save and quit and reload before a possible crash happens. Sometimes it takes more than one reload, but it goes away.

The first time I noticed this problem was when I adopted a foal from a neighbor  with this problem, so I promptly named her "Silhoette".

Today I had a problem in the family where this picture of the mousecat appears. I had a butler, who was half mummy according to the reactions I've got from my sims who walked by and he didn't do a thing in the household. So I've add him to the family using cheats and moved him to another house. When I switched back to my previous family the cat was suddenly part of the family tree again.
But, just like my previous pets this one also was bugged or so. My previous pets where taken away because I got blamed not taking careof them which I couldn't as sims couldn't interact with them for some odd reason. So they where taken away.
The cat was also bugged, since that one also couldn't be interact with, with my sims.
But he wasn't taken away. No. after a few days I got a visit from the Black Man in his burka himself: Grim Reaper.
So my cat died, and the picture disappeared from the family portret.
But this solution didn't made me happy.
