Or simply, without using cheats, just search a nearby pool and jump in to extinguish fire. Hope that helps.   :)

Except when on a lot without a pool or a shower.  :( My sim KEEPS catching on fire.  Think I could just not do sing-a-grams anymore?  I think she's on level 3 or 4.... Just do gigs or play for tips? It's not worth it when you're on a challenge or doing a dynasty. But I so want to use simPort. Argh!!  >:(

Dynasties can Simport.  Challenges sometimes can and sometimes can't.   Your Sim isn't unlucky right?  Maybe getting the fireproof homestead LTR if you have it.

Not unlucky, and I'm never at home when it happens. It's when I'm off doing sing-a-grams of course on lots with no easy access to water :(

Mine caught on fire too. Mine lived through it though. But if he had of died I would have shut without saving and skipped that singing gram. And my sims are always fairies and Fairies just being fairies are "entitled" to any and everything even redo's  and I never consider it cheating. lol

One of mine did recently. He was doing it next to a community pool and he dived in for a swim

A tip from me would be to always accompany your singer with either a Brave Sim or a firefighter; that way they can put your singer out if they catch fire before it gets bad.

Failing that, always keep hold of at least 3 death flowers.
