Probably. For me, never, but to others, it may convince them. That image looks like a Barbie toy, even with the Barbie-Prefect sim.

I think they are Perry fans. I'll await the day when a new artist debuts their own Sims game, and they haven't gotten the oppurtunity to work with Sims- Three times already.

As for the stuff, I actually really love that chair. Pretend that the ice cream on top is a unicorn's horn or something and you could pretty much have a fantasy throne for a fairy queen or a good accessory for a little girl's room, like we already have the unicorn bed from Pets. I'm kinda hoping I get that mystery bag when I next get some points, if only for that snazzy chair!

It's not a set.  It's a mystery bag prize which means when you  buy simpoints there is a possibility of one of these items.  You can buy multiple simpoint bundles to try for all three but it's not guaranteed that you'll get a new one each time.

I'm honestly kind of baffled at the Katy Perry Everything. It seems odd to me that so much Sims stuff is concentrated on one particular artist, no matter who it is.

In regards to the items themselves, I'll pass. They're just way too whimsical-cartoon-wonderland for me. Obviously every stuff pack will have people who like or dislike the style, but these items seem like they would appeal to a much smaller niche than, say, streamlined modern furniture, which also isn't to my taste but makes more sense to me from a sales standpoint.

I've never been so glad that the store is being revamped and not much is going on there. That means no temptation at all to buy Sim points.

What was EA thinking with putting this stuff at the store?

As a Psychology major, I know that if you are predisposed to enjoy these candy-themed items, seeing them more will make you like them more. This also works conversely. If you already don't like the theme but you keep seeing it, you will continue to dislike it more and more. I understand EA is trying to make sure everyone knows that they've teamed up with KP, but this seems a little excessive. In my opinion, this theme should have gone into the store instead of an SP, but it looks like it's made its way into the store regardless, and in a way that most people won't even be able to get these items. These extra items are only available with a $60 simpoint bundle and you're not even guaranteed to get a different item with each purchase.
