The Sims 3 Katy Perry Sweet Treats Stuff Pack

It's nice they're finally having some imaginative furniture in the game but I don't particularly like the style of this pack, cake furniture? Exquisite but a bit to babyish for my liking.

I'm not buying it either. Not going to waste Hard-drive space on something that is frivolous like this.

I thought the whole game is frivolous, it's not suppose to be serious, The Sims has always made fun of itself. It's why I like it so much, it's play with life, not be so serious about it that you won't have fun. The Sims is a life simulation, it's not meant to be serious on all levels. There is a whole list of stuff you can do in the game but could never happen in real life.

I, and I'm sure this goes for most of the others that aren't fans of this as well, am not complaining because the stuff in this SP isn't realistic. We loved the unicorns in Pets, the time machine in Ambitions, and all the other unrealistic stuff as much as you did. We're complaining because if EA wanted to make some crazy fantasy SP, they could have made a much better one than this cupcake-bikini stuff.

That's one outfit though, there is alot more nice outfits, if you don't like colors are patterns, just change it. I've made clothes look far different then what they looked like before. If Katy Perry wasn't a part of this people wouldn't be griping as much. I like that Katy Perry is taking an interest into the game. Just because a star is with it doesn't mean it's not good, it's just different.

Well said, Simslover! I respect all your opinions too. I understand you guys don't want frivolous furniture, but giving the childish trait in mind (one of my five traits), I'm naturally appealed. If this was something relevant to say, Harry Potter, and it was Harry Potter endorsed, I wouldn't be out buying the stuff pack myself, but others might, simply because I'm not into the sort of Lord of the Rings/Harry Potter theme. Not everything will please everyone. University didn't please me, (only the cowplant!), but others seemed to really like it. Different strokes for different folks!

I agree, many people may like this expansion, many won't, but its not all that bad! Just think, after a SP theres always a new EP in a few months, so just wait for that

Again, Katy Perry being a part of this has absolutely nothing to do with my opinion and my point. I totally get that this may appeal to 'people with the childish trait' but the majority of us aren't childish, at least to the extent where we like this, and personally, I think Master Suite Stuff looked better than this. I'm just really interested in seeing how much all this stuff is going to pop up in dynasties and legacies, the stuff isn't usable. That's why so many people are saying that they refuse to pay for something that is just full of stuff they'll never use. My dynasty and legacy houses are modern themed, so I'm not going to throw in a 'banana split sundae' sofa in the middle of it unless I want it to deliberately look silly. If they wanted to make a cutesy SP, they could at least have made the stuff more workable. I'm not trying to be rude at all, but there is a huge difference between 'cute' and 'just outright silly' and the latter is what this SP is. That's my gripe with it, nothing to do with Katy Perry's involvement.

I won't be getting this unless it's later on if they do a special with a new Expansion like buy the expansion and get a Stuff Pack free. That's how I got Fast Lane.

I guess it just depends on who you are and how you play the game, then. I think for the majority of people who dislike it, they share your opinion. It's just not useful. Like I said, I'm just buying it due to a love of sugar and sweetness, but even I think it's slightly over-the-top (banana-split sundae sofa, really?). That and I just want to have it for my collection.

I get the feeling EA doesn't listen much to responses. Otherwise, we would've had a remake of Seasons already (check the comments on the video; almost everyone's crying for that)

It's kinda funny how EA says that they listen to us yet we have been begging for University and Seasons and this wasn't a first choice in the SP poll.

I'm pretty certain Seasons will definitely be here in a future Expansion. EA know we want it so much, and they're holding out on it for that reason. Kinda ticks me off when people constantly moan every time a new SP or EP comes out that isn't Seasons, because it's practically guaranteed that they will release it and people just need to have patience.
