Well, it has been announced! This is a Simsvip article with the announcement. There are also other articles about it on the site. It also now has a forum on the offical website.

This SP is apparently having dozens more stuff than a regular stuff pack. Not so sure if I want it though.

I'm debating whether or not to buy this..frivolous SP. I mean, I could gain several cavities from viewing the screenshots.

I tend to have loud opinions. So sorry. I got tons of issues, lol. I can also be found on Yahoo! Answers.

I like it! Sims is kind of about having this sort of thing, because realistic is boring with a capital B! So this SP just gives me more imagination for Sims and builds. When I get this SP, I'll be uploading a remake of the Sheen Household in Union Cove!

Looking at some of the photos, my main worry is seeing all the NPCs wearing this stuff! I'm terrified of what could happen!

That will actually be kind of cool looking! I'm a little bored with the plain Jane maid outfits! Perhaps I'll actually like the babysitters this time!

When I buy content for the game I think 'Will I use this and do I really want it'. When I look at this, I see it being used for about a week after it comes out and then everyone ceases to use it apart from when they want to go that extra mile with a childish/insane Sim. It's a shame because they really could have made something so cute and fun with childish shapes and bold colours yet they went... with this. I wouldn't pay £10 for this.

Uhg! A whole new reason not to get it. I'll have to clense every single Sim I see from Ice Cream!  :o

This post has some more information if you want to check it out! A lot of it is what I was predicting all along, and I was right.

It seems like the SimGuru was made to repeat "this is not an expansion pack but has dozens more items" about ten times all through that Q&A.

I was thinking just that. At least the seem to be acknowledging there is quite a stir over the price being roughly the same as an Expansion Pack. I think it works out about £5 cheaper than an EP in the UK. That and EPs have gone up lately.

My opinion hasn't changed about this SP. My Sims are very excited about their boring realistic houses being renovated with this stuff pack's new items as am I. I'm really happy about the fantasy themed stuff, and I think Sims needs it in general.  :D

I think the next one should be Charlie Sheen themed, with a Fiat at the TS3 store.

About the price, I don't think it's that bad. I think there's always going to be that deal where you get it for free with a new EP release, and then there's the origin deals, where they will sell it half off anyways! You all have to admit, it will go great with Seasons! I promise you, you will get it cheap or free somehow, from an awesome Walmart, Amazon or Origin deal!

When I first saw the Sims 3 Facebook cover for this SP, all I could think was "EW!" But I looked closer at a screenshot on their page, and see some interesting things there, like an ice cream video game thing(like those arcade machines from the 80's). And, I have to admit...I have a big sweet tooth. A SP themed around sweet junk food? Heck, yeah! But chances are, I'll only have one room with the stuff in it. An entire house themed after candy and ice cream would make my belly sick. LOL  I don't know who the heck Katy Perry is, but I'm a completist, anyway. Tomorrow I'm buying Town Life Stuff, Master Suite Stuff, and Showtime(I'm a bit behind since I went on a long Sims 3 hiatus and now am getting back in...those three faded icons on my launcher are driving me bonkers).

I understand you're excited about this, and I'm happy for you. I can just think of so many more things that would give Sims a more fantasy based theme.  To me this just seems like one of the developers had a 6 year old daughter who said something like "how about stuff from Candy Land?" And as far as being on sale, sorry, I'd pass this one by if it were in the 5.00 bin at Wal Mart.

I'm not getting it just because it's Katy Perry themed though. I'd be much happier if it was Charlie Sheen, of course, and I would never buy it in a million years if it was Justin Bieber!  8)

I actually like Katy Perry, I think she is one of the better celebs in general because she isn't as fake and gives a lot. But even with my high opinion of her I don't feel the need to waste money on an SP I will barely use just because her face is on it. I've had other doubts about past SPs, but I still got them and they have items in it I will actually use. I don't think I would ever use candy-themed items even for a little girls bedroom simply because (for me) it isn't appealing.
If at first you don't succeed, call it version 1.0.

The one thing I'm REALLY looking forward to is the LGR review. Now that's something I'll get excited about.

It actually looks like the Holiday SP from Sims 2, really. If you look it a bit more closely, it's really the same theme different concept.

EDIT: I don't think this is a true stuff pack. But it's not an EP. It sounds like the same concept of Sims 2 Holiday Stuff to me, where it's not a total SP, but not an EP either. They didn't really label it as STUFF. I think it's one of those contradicting special edition type of Stuff Packs, like the Holiday SP.
