I've got a sneaky suspicion the extra price is due to KP's involvement and nothing else, but hopefully I'll be proved wrong.

That's actually a foregone conclusion.  Nobody who is even marginally famous is going to put their face on something unless they're getting paid to do it, and you can bet your life that KP's cut isn't coming out of EA's profit margin.  Things don't work like that.

Well, she's not the only one who needs to be paid.  She's got a managers and publicists who probably set the whole thing up.  In reality, they'll probably get the most of it.

I've suddenly been wondering, though it would probably result in a lot of people being very....angry at either the loss or the decpetion, or just a lot of relieved people, but I wonder if this Katy Perry Stuff Pack has been a very elaborate april fool's day prank by EA.  I guess we will know tomorrow.  Early thoughts on if that is the case?

Oh man, that would actually make me think very highly of EA, but I'm not going to expect this to be an April Fool's joke. It would make sense to spread rumors about something this controversial (at least on this forum) just to gather responses and opinions, and then if it turns out it may be a bad investment, they'll cancel this SP. I would think that as a very intelligent "prank" on their part.

Unfortunatley, that 's very rare. I doubt EA would popup and say, "April Fools!" to the idea. If they did, this would be the direct cause to more lawsuits.

Besides, I said it before and I'll say it again, Sims is suppose to have this sort of theme, somewhere! If everything in the game were more realistic, it would simply be boring! Yes this is a life simulator but even with this life simulation game, the realistic elements should be stripped down to the basics. If I wanted a more realistic world, I'd be using all those Barbie-like creepy skins and eyes that make a Sim look more human.

I can agree with you. I'm one of those people who want a lot of things that bring less realism to the game. I can just think of a lot of other things I'd like to see than this upcoming SP.

I for one would probably forgo this SP.  I have every EP and SP on sims 1,2 and 3, but this one has no appeal to me whatsoever.  Maybe it is my age, who knows, lol.

No, it's not that Salty. I'm still a YA and this doesn't catch my interest at all either. The only reason I'll probably get it is so I can have the complete collection. Maybe though if we all decided not to get the whole collection just because we're addicted, they'd stop putting dumb stuff out there, and start focusing on awesome stuff. Maybe it's my fault they do this haha.

Yea, same here, I just wanted to know if they had actually confirmed it yet because I was interested in any new info that may be released. There'll always be a bit of me hoping that this is all just really developed rumours though.
