Question About the Unflirty Trait
«

I've never had an unflirty sim before, but when I released my genie from the lamp it turns out one of her traits is unflirty. I noticed right away that she had no romantic interactions available when she met a new sim. She ensorceled a sim and he was able to use romantic interactions on her.
Is the lack of romantic interactions because of the unflirty trait or because she is a genie or is it just a glitch? My game got borked shortly after I noticed this, so I haven't had a chance to go back to an earlier save and see if if she might get access to romantic interactions at a higher relationship level.

Usually Sims with the unflirty trait have some romantic interactions crossed out much like hiw good Sims have mean interactions crossed out. Is this what has happened or are there no romantic interactions at all.

When I clicked on the other sim there was no button labled 'Romantic' at all. There were friendly, mean, genie, and special - perhaps others, too, but I forget - but no romantic.

With my unflirty Sim she had to have a full friendly relationship bar with the Sim she was flirting with before the romantic option came up.
If I remember rightly it was the same when I played a game with Erin Kennedy who also has the unflirty trait.

I've played Unflirty sims and they do have romantic actions. Just with flirting it shows the trait picture to represent that the action goes against that trait. Maybe this is because it is a genie? If you want to test it out try using Betty Simovitch from Riverview who has the unflirty trait.

I believe Cornelia Goth has it too. My sim managed to have an affair with her in the early days of TS3. I think she has the grumpy trait too so he was really battling uphill.

Just to make sure, the one you were trying for romantic interactions with ws a young adult or older, right? Since romatnic interactions won't show up between a YA+ and a teen sim. More than once I have mistaken a teen sim for a young adult while having my sim around town.

I had my YA female genie trying to build relationship with adult SS townie Steve Cupp. He's got the diva trait and is particularly hard to become friends with. Once the relationship bar nudged over into the green (acquaintance) my genie had no option for any romantic interactions (although she ensorceled Steve and he could perform romantic interactions on her). I just wasn't sure if she couldn't initiate romantic interactions at a low relationship level because of the unflirty trait or because she was a genie. I started over from a pre-genie save and my new genie isn't unflirty. He has access to romantic interactions when he first meets someone, so it must have been the unflirty trait on my earlier attempt.
