Constant Sounds for no reason

Ever since I downloaded Showtime I have heard sounds at random times of the Sim days all day.  I've heard the pets gained a new trait sound, the you sold things in the consignment shop sound, the pregnancy announcement sound and more at odd hours.  My favorite part is when these sounds go off while the whole house is sleeping.


Any suggestions?   Just so you know I'm on a Mac.

Same problem here.  I have also noticed the wrong sound for certain events, like promotion sounds like pregnancy, etc.  Very strange.  I keep looking around my lot for dying people or someone skilling up.

I was going to post about this myself to see if it was happening to anyone else.
I'll hear the skill up sound 3 or 4 times a day along with other various sounds.
I don't have any suggestions about what to do for it but thought you might like to know it's not just you it's happening to.

Wheww, again, I am glad I am not the only one that hears these sounds.  The pregnancy one, it seems I always here when I am in town.  Another one, is when I go to map view and I move close to this one spot, sounds like someone is playing games on the computer and it goes away when I move farther.  Another one is, when you reach level 10 in a profession and the bar is yellow instead of green, I hear the sound as if the bar had filled up.  Sometimes it goes 5 or 6 times, then it quits.  Thought maybe I was losing it, lol.

I also hear the sounds! I thought it may have had to do with the story progression mod I'm using, but I guess not. Good to know I'm really not just hearing things, though.
