I have to hear/say "No" often enough in the real world, so I'm still in.  I've just started playing, and have changed my free will and lifespan to meet the requirements.  Are we supposed to check "Disable autonomy for selected sim"?  I assume that we leave it unchecked, but I'd like to know for sure.

Hmmm...I guess whatever the default is. You would definitely not want to disable autonomy for any Sim. This is something separate from checking Freewill?

--------

EDIT: Okay, I see what you are talking about. It's a separate box that you do not want to check. The default is unchecked and that's what you want.

On a different note folks, please do not turn this thread into a platform for any kind of morality discussion. I realize this is an unusual premise for a challenge, but keep telling yourself it's a game and not real life. I simply set up goals for you to attain. That's it. To be honest, some of you may not realize how difficult this challenge will be given the parameters. It's not like when you fire up a game you are going to instantly find 20 female Tourists wandering the town. Far from it. But, whatever...If you do not like the challenge, fine. But, please do not pass judgement -- it's only a game and there are plenty of players that are going to find this interesting.

Edited by Rachel. You were sharing far too much stratergy.

"You receive 50 points for all Sims underneath your Sim."

I am assuming the 50 points is for EACH sim underneath your Sim in your tree. e.g 3 Sims x 50 = 150 points.

Looks like fun. Thanks for another challenge. I haven't really played the education track, so I guess I had better practice.

Correct.

@Rachel, I elected not to edit Tealeaf's post yesterday simply because it was all broad generalizations without anything specific mentioned — i.e. lifetime happiness rewards were mentioned as a element, but which ones to get was not. But, I totally respect your decision and support it. Thank you.

Metro, the reason I edited the post was because it gave some ideas on what to think about and which direction to head in. Plus I thought it might have encouraged other members to start discussing the points raised which would lead to potential stratergy sharing. Thought it best to nip it in the bud.

No problem. I think you did the right thing and I probably should have. Thanks again.

Sorry, Metro.  That was not my intent at all. Just not my cup of tea.
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!

Sorry, didn't realize that speaking in broad generalizations about basic game mechanics was an issue.  I'll keep shut up about it from now on.

I received a PM concerning being fired from the teacher's job, so I revamped the rule:

  • Your Sim must register for the Education career on Day 1 and he can never quit or be fired from his job.

If by chance he would get fired, then you will need to post your result as DNF.

This sounds fun, and totally different from how I usually play! I rarely post or participate but I'm looking forward to this one. I think I'll name him Lester, and give him a little moustache...

Thanks!

This challenge seems fun.  I am play a family in Bridgeport at the moment for my Dynasty, and I havent found any tourist since Showtime has come out. Is it only me?  I saw some in the new showtime world if I was a magician, singer, or acrobat. I have Ambitions and WA (hoping it isnt a glitch cuz of my earlier ccomputer problems).

It's not only you.  It takes some looking.  I don't want to say anymore because I'm afraid I might be saying strategy.  I don't know how the number of tourists compare to before Showtime, but tourists can be found if you look hard enough.  I suggest figuring out how to do this before doing your actual challenge, too.
