Tealeaf, all challenges have a start and end date to be completed. This is in our time so a challenge could  start on the 1st of the month and all scores might have to be in by the 30th of the month.(This is just an example please check individual challenges for dates) A player can submit their score at any time once the challenge has started so long as they have their score in by the deadline.

Within each challenge there will be a time that the Sim has to complete the challenge generally either four full Sim weeks or twelve Sim weeks. Sometime the aim will be to see how long it takes to complete a task such as in the clone challenge. For this challenge you have to total up your score when the clock/calendar under where it has your Sims lifetime wish says week four day seven 11:59pm.

I hope that helped.

Ah, thank you ratchie for stepping in and explaining. Tealeaf it would indeed appear you're confusing real time and game time (the time your Sim has). :)

Yes, that is exactly what my problem was.  Thanks for being so patient in explaining it to me.

I played my file quite a lot over the last 3 days and finished up. The Ember-Mee family has a long and distinguished reputation in Sunset Valley for producing superior teachers. So, when Remm Ember-Mee decided to make the family proud and become a teacher, it's no surprise that he became one of the best. His trademark teaching skill was saying his name to his students in the form of a question. In fact, he also did this as he whispered softly in a Tourist's ear.

Remm's salary — $773
# Children — 34 (34 X 50) = 1700
Total = 2473

Ok Metro, I've now had my laughs for the night. That was a good line..  ::)

David Lee Roth finished up with:

Salary: $625

Children: 33 x 50 = 1650

1650+625= 2275

Nice salary Metro :) You must have maxed out the raises and promotions! Now I just need to wait for Drift and Claymask to post their scores so I can see what I'm up against and if I need to change anything....! I like what I've got from my trial run though.

I have always just looked at what others do/say and finally thought I'd give this challenge a try.  I practiced 6 times before finally figuring out how to balance everything and am shocked at how far my "Randy Guy" went.  He has 67 kids (notice how they are never babies, just come out kids?  Ouch) and a salary of $838 - he only missed a raise one working day.  For a total of 4188.  I loved the simplicity of this - one person, one job, one "goal".  Thanks for the fun

Wow, great score Tessiela. Sounds like you employed a trick with the kids that someone else told me about after I posted my own score. Well done.

This was my first challenge ever, I definitely think more practice would have been a good idea.
Mister Alexander Lore had a salary of $572 and a total of 24 kids. If I did my math right that makes my total score 1772 :)

I just found out that we got a ton of orders comming at the factory where I work and I'll be pulling some serious overtime.  Good news, I get to help pay down the new computer I just bought!  Bad news, I'm barely going to have time to sleep, much less use the computer to play the sims.

It looks like I might be out, or if I do, just get a laughly low score.  Which could be funny.  "I played for 3 hours total, and got a score of 283!"

Well, my teacher didn't do too well, although he did try rather hard, ended up with a salary of 560 and 18 lovely kids.
560 + 900 = 1460

Tealeaf how much of your score is salary and how much for kids.

I did not interpret that one line as the real score...just an example that it might be low. Not sure.

Oh yeah I just noticed that was in quotes. I really need to start paying attention.

Edit to add my score.

Meester Rightnow fathered a total of 57 children for a score of 2850 and he earned a salary of 825 giving a total of 3675

Yeah, mine was just an example of what my score might be.  Sorry for causing the confusion.
