Not receiving wedding gifts

Since I installed Showtime my Sims don't get wedding gifts. They go to the mailbox and open it but no notices pop up and nothing shows up in their inventory but there is the option to write thank you notes.

same here.  I get dolls for babies and skill certificates, but no wedding gifts.  Not a game breaker, but it is usually some nice extra cash.

I noticed that too.  I got mad at the game, kachinged myself 2K simoleans and bought my sims their wedding gifts, a picture, a blender and a dart board.  Then wrote thank you notes!

@ Cas I wondered when it started. I installed the patch and Showtime one right after the other so I didn't know if it was the patch that broke it.

@ Justwright Same here. Everything else with the mailbox still works just not getting the actual gifts. Though my Sims still get the +150 wish to write Thank You Notes so it's not completely broken. I always liked to see what the gifts were. My favorite was the jet plane sculpture from Honey Darnell's horse.

@ Gaelicsunrise - That's one way to take care of it! Personally I suspect the mailman of pocketing the presents instead of putting them in the box!

@ fickle: are the other options with the mailbox still intact? Like lying bills and if your Sim can; ordening omni-seeds?

@ Leto - No other problems with the mailbox. My Sims can still pay bills, write their thank you notes and even order Omni seeds. But when they go to the box the day after the wedding and open it there's a pause - but no notification saying "So and so has sent you such and such as a wedding present"  and nothing shows up in the family inventory.

ETA: Also no problems with sending gems and metals to be cut and smelted - they come back with no problems. It's just the wedding gifts.

I miss the wedding gifts. I married my sim yesterday and almost a sim week later they still haven't received anything

They were missing for my Sims too. Everything else was there (the wish to write thank you notes and the interaction), I got the pop up that sims x & y were happy to receive those notes... but there were no gift!

No gifts, just thanked a bunch of cheap sims for not sending anything. Lol!

Same here.  My sims didn't get any wedding presents, but they got the option to write thank-you notes for the gifts they didn't get.

I'm using some mods, and I thought maybe one of them had borked the wedding presents.  Are any of you with this problem playing a mod-free game?

Good question.  I do use Twallan's mods, currently StoryProgression, Master Controller, OverWatch and ErrorTrap.

I'm also using Master Controller and ErrorTrap, plus Buzzler's Aging Manager and Same Energy for Every Bed.

Thanks for replying; now I don't have to search through all mine for the one that's causing the problem.  It sounds like a problem with Showtime, then.  I'd report it to EA, but I don't want to have to register for Origin.
