At first he was a non-believer, having been sent by The Boss as punishment.  The second time around he was a man determined to finish the challenge because the lives of his former family were in the hands of The Boss.  When The Boss called on him for a little playtime, the insane one took a wrong step during the conversation in his haste to get back to his new family.  Now he's having to start all over again.

Artie: "What in blue blazes?  Where am I?"
The Boss:  "Hello Artie.. Join me."


The Boss:  "Join me, Artie."
Artie: "I don't trust that sing song voice of yours, Boss."
The Boss: -grinning- "I don't know what you mean.."


Artie: "Just cut to the chase already."
The Boss:  "I just wanted to play some hopscotch, Artie."


Artie: -mocking- "I just wanted to play some hopscotch."


The Boss: "You know I don't enjoy being mocked, Artie."
Artie: "Boss, I think you brought me here for a reason.  The little guy in my head right here says that you took my family again.  Didn't you?"
The Boss: "Why do you have to make things hard on yourself, Artie?"
Artie: "I don't know but the fly says he has an idea about that."


The Boss: "There is something seriously wrong with your brain chemistry."
Artie: "You don't have to get upset, Boss."


The Boss: "Upset?  Upset?  I haven't even begun to get upset.  All I wanted was a little game of hopscotch.   But noooo.  You have to push the issue, didn't you Artie?"
Artie: "Boss.. I didn't mean anything by it.  I just want to finish the dynasty like you asked.  Just like you asked.  I'm so close to ambrosia if you just let me go back."


The Boss: "You think I'm going to let you just go back now.   After all this trouble you've been giving me.  You didn't even play one silly round with me Artie.  Why should I let you go back to your comfortable life?"
Artie: "Please, Boss.  Please.  I've been good.  I supermaxed my skill. I'm one night away from taking over the Organization again.  Angela is doing so well in school.  We're doing everything you asked.  Just like you asked."
The Boss: -waves her little black hand around- "Too late."
Artie: "But Boss.."
The Boss: "Don't interrupt me, Artie.  I've decided I don't like you being in Hidden Springs with all those green-skinned do-gooders.  No, I think they are corrupting you.  I think you've lost touch with what it means to be a Grim."
Artie: "I don't want to start over.  I don't need to start over. " -stomps his foot- "I won't start over."


The Boss: "No!  We're done here and I'm done with you.  It's time you leave Artie."
Artie: "Where am I going?"
The Boss: "To the Moon, Artie!"


…. "Whoops.  Too Far."

Part of me is glad for the restart and another part of me is just relieved that I don't have to be frustrated with HS lag anymore.   I just realized how dark The Boss is in those pictures too.   It's the same little girl I used from the last time don't know why she's so much darker in the daylight.

Artie: -jerks awake- "Wha.  Hey! Where the heck am I?"
Rica: "Hey you're awake finally.  You ok there big man?"
Artie:  "Yeah I think.. What's going on?"
Rica: "Well I finally found you.  You were sailing through space towards I don't know what.  You made The Boss really mad and she sent you this way. "
Artie: "I noticed then things got dark and cold."
Rica: "By the time I found you, you were so cold you were becoming a white man."
Artie: "Do I still have all my appendages?"
Rica: "Don't look at me.  I didn't check.  You'll have to do that yourself when we land."
Artie: "Where we headed to anyway?  Bridgeport, Sunset Valley, Twinbrook?"
Rica: "I'm afraid you're too far away to land in any of those places.  It was easier just to put you on course for Lunar Lakes."
Artie: "The Lost Colony!  I can't believe it.  What am I supposed to do there?"
Rica: "Finally finish a dynasty, maybe?"
Artie: -grumble- "They've been off world for nearly three generations.  No one knows anything about them."
Rica: "I know a little bit about them.  I got all the information I was willing to share and packed it in there somewhere.   I think it's under Bigglesworth."
Artie: "What's the furball doing here!?"
Rica: "Who do you think told me where to find you?"
Artie: -grumble- "Fine.. I'll read this while you leave me alone."

A couple hours later…

*CRASH*


Mr Bigglesworth: "Nice Landing, you giant red idiot."
Artie: "Hey who you calling an idiot, furball."
Mr Bigglesworth: "They guy who back talks The Boss, that's who."
Artie: "I deserve that.. You look a little dirty though."
Mr Bigglesworth: "I feel dirty I just spent an unknown length of time in a space pod that you just crashed into this strange planet.  Also my fur feels really weird.  I think it's time I take a bath.." -goes to lick himself-


Artie: -hides spray paint can and scissors in the trash can, whistling-
Mr Bigglesworth: "Ahhh!" -hisses at Artie- "What did you do to me?"
Artie: "I made you prettier and gave you less chance to get furballs."
Mr Bigglesworth: "I'm going to make you bleed, Come here right this instant."


Artie: "You have to catch me first!"
Mr Bigglesworth: "Well don't just sit there and watch woman.  Make him stop so I can attack him."
Rica: "Oh no.  We need him to go get a job and start taking care of business.  Look at what I found over here.. it's a new toy."
Artie: "I think I'll just go get that job at the Orbital Distribution center we talked about.  Oh and to go meet my  new best friend."
Mr Bigglesworth: "Is that.. cat..nip.  Must.. attack.. little pink mousey."
Rica: "Run!"


~Meet Victim #1: Alexander Cross, husband of Victim #2 Patricia Cross~
Artie: "Hello Mr Cross.  I'm so glad you invited me inside your house.  I was hoping we could chat for a little bit."
Alexander: "I don't know you and I don't think you're very impressive.  Why don't you just leave me alone."
Artie: "Are you sure I don't impress you?  I wanted to talk about the science career and the logic, gardening and handiness skills with you."


Alexander: "Wow.  You're an okay guy, Artie Grim.  Maybe we can hang out and become friends."
Artie: -1 star celebrity status achieved-  "I would like that very much.  Do you mind if I ask what you do for a living?"
Alexander: "I'm glad you asked.  I'm a Mad Scientist at the Perigree.  I love work and getting promotions."
Artie: -two new traits learned- "Really?  Well I applaud you for all your hard work.  I really like science, too.  It has given us lots of stuff."
Alexander: "Thank you and I really like science as well.  It's a fascinating career choice for geniuses like myself."
Artie: -new trait learned- "Yes yes I can see that you're a very clever man.  Tell me does a clever man such as yourself like computers?"
Alexander: "I love computers!"
Artie: -new shared trait learned- "Me too!"
Alexander: "Amazing how that works isn't it."
Artie: "I also really applaud you for your work ethic.  Everyone should be as hard working as you."
Alexander: "Thank you.  I agree."
Artie: "You are just so clever.  If only the whole world could be a genius like you."
Alexander: "Oh well thank you.  I agree."
Artie: "I love computers!"
Alexander:  "Me too!"
-Friends-
Artie: - 2 star celebrity status achieved- "Have you been having a good day?"
Alexander: "It's been a great day.  I just made a new friend."
Artie: "Yes and I applaud you for your hard work."
Alexander: "Thank you.."
Artie: "You're very smart, Alexander."
Alexander: "Thank you.  I think you are too because you're my friend."
Artie: "I like computers!"
Alexander: "So do I!"
-Rinse & Repeat for 2 hours until Best Friends-


Artie: - 3 star celebrity status achieved-  "Now that we're Best Friends, I was wondering if you would do me a favor."
Alexander: "Anything for my new best friend."
Artie: "I would really like it if you and your wife would move in with me, adopt an artistic child and help me achieve immortality for only myself.  Whaddya say?"
Alexander: "That sounds like an excellent idea."
Artie: "Splendid.  I promise to help you and your wife achieve your lifetime goals."
Alexander: "Great!  Come on Honey.  We're moving in with my fine new red friend here.  He's the one that brought in some of the new venues that we saw this morning around town."
Artie: "You guys don't have any hidden cars in your pockets right?"
Alexander: "Oh no.  We let the Celebrity limo service drive us wherever we need to go.  I do have a laptop and some books in my pocket though."
Artie: "Guess that will have to do.. C'mon buddy."



Alexander: "You know what this place needs.. Plants.  I think I'm going to start a garden."
Patricia: "I think that's an excellent idea, my dear."
Artie: "Me too.  After you finish planting fruits and veggies, you should call child services and adopt an artistic child to liven up our lives."
Patricia: "You should do it honey.  I'm only one campaign away from being the Leader of the Free World and I can't really afford any time off."
Alexander: "You're absolutely right my dear.  You need to work as hard as you can to get that next vote."



Later that night…


Meet Victim #3 - Buzz Cross: Loner, Artistic, Perfectionist.
Buzz: "Mommy, Daddy.. I'm home!"
Mr Bigglesworth: "What are we going to call him?"
Artie: "I named him Buzz, like the space guy."
Mr Bigglesworth: "They are called astronauts and I'm surprised you know the name of an actual astronaut."
Artie: "Well of course I do.  Who hasn't heard of Buzz Lightyear?"
Rica: -facepalm-


Artie: "Hey Buzz.. I got you a shiney new easel for coming to live with us."
Buzz: "Cool!  Thanks Uncle Artie.  Can I go take a class to learn how to paint?"
Artie: "Of course you can!"
Rica: "I can't believe you had them adopt a child to be your painter."
Artie: "Adopting a painter is the latest trend in dynasty founders.  Get with the times woman."
Rica: "Shameless.. Absolutely shameless."
Mr Bigglesworth: "I think you mean brilliant."

Thanks Rachel.  I feel like I'm to Artie what the Voice/You are to your Sims.    He's probably the one Sim I can't help but be attached to.   I use him in challenge files just because as well.     It's really too bad Genie's turned out like vampires with the long life thing.
