Homework

Has anyone ever had a child or teen sim do homework autonomously before they've even started school? There was no homework in my sim's inventory for her to do, yet, she still did it, and once completed, contributed towards her school performance smiley.

Oh yes! Sometimes, they won't even go home, they will sit down in the school lot, and do their homework immediately. Even when I take them to a friends house, the two children do their homework together.

Yes one of my children has just grown up and have homework in his invetory.

You mean doing it as soon as they've aged up to child, without having had their first day of class yet? That's weird if so.

On the one hand, I'm annoyed by their old homework being stuck in their inventories after they age. On the other, I'm thrilled that they do it without being told now! I hated that in Sims 2. Every evening was a herculean struggle. Like in RL, I guess. :-)

You can sell the old homework through the inventory.

Now that you mention it, this did happen to me within the past month or so.  It was a serious "wait...what??" moment at the time, but as it was actually beneficial, I forgot about it until you mentioned it. 

It only happened once, though.

The only time I had a sim with homework before attending school was after a reset. A sim got stuck immediately after aging up to teen and I had to use the resetsim cheat. He had homework in his inventory after the reset that had not been there before.

I don't think I had that happen, but I don't have to tell my children to do their home work.

They just do it.
