Yes!!! I haven't had a chance to read this in over a week due to work, but I am so pleased I get to return to three or so updates! I agree with Apple's comments about the characters not being all good or all bad.

I could shake the heroine sometimes, but that's just me!

Thanks for writing such a great tale.

I ended up with Diana's hair on one of my sims, and I love it.

Love the story so far, but may I ask, what are They're traits? (Diana, Allison and Charlie)

Oh, let's see... Diana is Hot-Headed, Commitment Issues, Neat, Nurturing, and Flirty.
Charlie is Bookworm, Family-Oriented, Artistic, Virtuoso, and Frugal.
Allison is Brave, Genius, Dog Person, and Friendly.
I'll give you Angel's traits too: Loves the Outdoors, Heavy Sleeper, Cat Person, Green Thumb, and Coward.

Thank you for the comments! I'm so glad you're all enjoying this story. :)

Ch. 10: Too Soon

The big day followed Charlie’s graduation. He couldn’t sleep all night. Diana shared his anxiety and she offered to take him to the spa for a massage to relax him some. He declined, but that didn’t stop Diana from getting that massage.

Charlie steeled his nerves and walked next door. His hand shook so hard that it took him three tries to hit the doorbell. Claire answered the door with an air of indifference. “Oh, hello Charlie,” she said. “Angel is in the shower.” She turned to walk to the kitchen. She’d been making sushi. Claire had become a master fisherwoman in her time, and sushi was a normal thing in the household.

“Uhm…” Charlie began, “Claire, I have to ask you something.” His hands were shaking and sweating.

“Oh?” replied Claire. “What do you need, dear?”

Charlie tripped over his words in an elaborate display of humiliation. “I uh—I wanted to ask you, ask you if you’d be okay with ah—with me, with me asking… I wanted to know if you’d…”

Claire held in her smile and interrupted Charlie, “Well, spit it out, boy. I haven’t got all day.” This moment would only come once, and a little humiliation wouldn’t hurt him, especially if he was about to ask what she thought he was going to ask.

“Claire,” Charlie was suddenly filled with confidence. “I love Angel. She makes me happy. When I’m with her, I feel a little lightheaded, but in a good way. She encourages me to write my books, she supports me, and she’s always been there for me since we were just kids. I just want to spend every minute of every day with her, just talking. I love her voice and her hair and her laugh—

“Will you let me marry your daughter, Claire?” finished Charlie. “Please?”

“Yes, Charlie,” said Claire with a smile. “You have my blessing to marry my daughter.”

“Really? You mean it? Truly?”

“Of course!” replied Claire. “I always knew this day would come. I just want you and Angel to be happy.”

“That’s great!” said Charlie. “That’s great news! I can’t wait.”

Claire dropped her voice to a whisper, “Angel’s coming!”

Charlie spun around to the staircase. His grin couldn’t have been bigger. “Angel!”

“Charlie? What’s going on?” asked Angel. She stopped on the stairs for a moment and stared at him skeptically.

Charlie was practically bouncing around in place. “Just come downstairs, Angel.”

She stayed where she was. “Mom, what’s going on?”

Claire took that as her queue to finish making sushi. She waved her hand and replied, “Oh, nothing dear.”

Angel sighed and continued down the stairs. Charlie gave her a big kiss in greeting, “Hello my love.”

Angel laughed, “Okay, something is going on here! What is it?”

“Angel,” Charlie said, “I love you with all of my heart. I want nothing more than to spend the rest of my life with you.” He released Angel and dropped down onto one knee. Angel gasped.

“Will you marry me, Angel Ursine?”

“Charlie!” Angel started crying on the spot, but she did in fact say yes. Charlie gingerly placed the ring on her finger. She thought it was beautiful.

Charlie was the happiest person alive at that moment.

Charlie and Angel decided to get married as soon as possible. Charlie found the perfect venue to host the wedding, and it was up to Angel to invite the guests. There weren’t too many, but the ceremony was beautiful. Claire and Diana sat side by side and wept their hearts out.

After the ceremony, Allison took a shot at singing some karaoke. She wasn’t that good.

Charlie and Angel spent their first meal as a married couple together.

Later that night, Charlie moved in with Angel and Claire. Charlie and Angel spent their first night as a married couple in the master suite. Angel had always wanted to go to France, so as a wedding gift, Claire bought her a painting of France to hang above their bed. Charlie promised he would take her there soon.

However, even the happy couple didn’t get a restful sleep. Claire went fishing late at night behind the science facility to give the new couple some alone time. Claire didn’t come home that night. Grim paid her a visit first.

Claire didn’t want to go. She wanted to see her grandchildren grow up! She wanted to see her daughter become the loving mother that she knew she would be. Grim had different plans for Claire, though.

Just some girl who was visiting. I don't remember who it was, haha. I tried to not get her in the picture, but this was the better screenshot.

It always makes me so sad when sims beg for their life. I'm happy for Charlie and Angel, but at the end it was a pretty bittersweet chapter, like almost all of them. Great chapter, though!

That was a beautiful wedding! R.I.P, Claire. :'( Seems when something great happens for the Waldrons, something bad always has to balance it out. :(

Thank you for all the comments! I was not expecting Claire to die at all. When Charlie moved in, her Elder bar was already full, but I didn't expect her to die that night. :-\

I'm still surprised on how Claire's daughter turned out! Usually in my games she turns out rather... well rather "strange"
