Baby Books Disappearing

In the BBII challenge, I am having a little problem with my toddler books.
They are lying on the nursery floor, but at night they keep disappering, so I have to go and buy them again.
Someone else having this problem?

Have you tried putting them in a bookshelf or keeping them in the sims inventory?

A Sim hasn't put the books into their inventory by themself have they?

None of the sims are having them in their inventory.
And my idea was to have them lying on the ground so the toddlers could read them by themselves. It worked fine the first 4 weeks, and then they started disappering.

Neat Sims will put books back in the book case.

If you have hired a maid they will also put your books away.

The maids could be a problem - but i dont have a bookcase they can put them away in.

I suggest putting a book on the floor and then watching the maid carefully to see if he/she is picking it up.  It's possible that the maid picks it up, but if there'e no bookcase to put the books into, maybe the maid is keeping them.  I don't think a neat Sim can resist picking up the books and all maids are neat.  You'd have to either buy a bookcase for the maid to put them into, or keep the books in inventory until you want to use them and then put them back in inventory when you're done.
