Problem since Showtime

Could we maybe split this thread up? I didn't mean it to be a thread about any problems since showtime, just a problem like mine. Not saying the other problems don't warrant discussion, just that it would be nice to have the space to concentrate on each one individually.

Well, the thread is titled "Problems since Showtime", so I assumed it was any problems someone might have since they installed it.  If there is a specific problem, then maybe the title should have been specific for that problem.

I said problem not problems. Still I guess I chose a poor title, but as I said, that wasn't my intention. Can I change the title? Or should I start a new thread?

I wonder if it makes a difference if there are not enough available community lots for those buildings when you start a new game?  I had that happen on another game and just went out of it and realized there was not the right lots.  I usually just click no to adding the lots, because I do it later.

I think I saw available lots just before it froze. And I did try clicking to not add the lots right away, but going to edit town (or buy mode in one instance) still results in the freezing.

You can change empty residential lots to community lots in edit town.  Or are you saying that the problem is that there aren't enough of any type of lot?

You know what the funny thing is? This game file originally broke on the Fang family. The new (split, and moved) game file broke again... on the Fang family. Perhaps this is not a coincidence? Anyone else having trouble with vampire families freezing? Could there be a bug in one particular family in a neighbourhood, and the other families are fine?

Looks like I have the same problem as Carl.  These girls didn't show up until after the newest patch.  I agree, one would do, funny they all have different names.  I thought they would be clones and all have the same name.  I do know the sims in the area were pointing and laughing at these girls, lol.

Ever since I installed Island Paradise (including the survivor kit), Showtime specialties like the karaoke machine and the singer career make no sound. I've heard of a bug like this before, but I don't know how to fix it. Any and all help is appreciated!
