I don't have it yet so hopefully it will be fixed before I get it, but talking about CC, this is 3rd party CC right? I have alot of store items which are CC I think but it was made by EA. Even though to be on the safe side before I send them somewhere I would take them to the mirror and dresser and change them into something not from the store. Would that work?

Nobody has really said specifically one way or the other to my knowledge, but 3rd party CC is the big concern (I can't really see someone being mad because they got an item for free that you normally have to pay for :P ).  However, this is allegedly fixed.  I haven't tested it yet because I just finished writing the Singer article for the guide.  I'll be looking to give SimPort a test run tomorrow.

But no more singers for a bit.  I still have "Oogie Fever" playing on constant repeat in my head.   :o

According to a ton of members from the Sims 3 Forum, the patch caused lagging and such with not only SimPort, but the overall game. I'm scared to update.  }=

I had no problems with the patch, it updated quickly. I'm just scared to use Simport. :/

Before the 1.32 patch, both the Sims I hosted showed up in downloads as custom content. Since patching up, I've hosted a couple of Sims, who didn't show up in downloads at all, although they did appear in my game. So my guess is that they fixed that issue.

I'm not experiencing any more trouble with game lag now than I was before the patch.  The game was laggy to begin with.

But, yes:  it's fixed.  The hosted Sim isn't even saved in you CAS bin anymore.

I am curious once my simport is working again if a copy of my touring sim is saved to my uploads again. I had a copy of my Singer waiting for upload for each time she went on tour.

..But what if I found the singer I put on Sim tour in my exports on the launcher? I didn't put her up for the Exchange.

Just because something is in the exports section of the launcher, doesn't mean it has been uploaded to the exchange. You control whether or not that happens.

Yes, but you did export her for SimPort.

i haven't installed Showtime yet and was leary of sending my sim since so many people hate CC. I love the CC outfits and have had no problem with them. So, you're saying the hosted sim doesn't stay in the game. How do they look if their CC hair and clothes aren't allowed. Curious. Otherwise, I will host others and not upload (don't want people here mad at me).

So far my experiences with SimPort both before and after patch 1.32 have been positive.  Nothing has transferred over into my game, all of the sims I have seen so far have been wearing their work costume.  I would be happy to host your performers - CC is not an issue anymore as far as I'm concerned - sending a friend request now.

When a Sim appears in your game from another person's game, it defaults to the standard work uniform.  Since this cannot be altered at all (not even the makeup or hairstyle), there's no custom content to transfer.

I'd be curious to see how she would look without her custom content. Still haven't installed Showtime yet, as people are talking about Blue screens, etc. Kind of nervous putting it in since my game presently runs wonderfully.
