Sims 3 Starting Money

How much starting money do couples get (If I made them in CAS)? I know a single sim gets 16500 simoleons but what about making more than 1?

It's about 16k worth of money but it's even less then that after you buy a house.

So, when you start the game, you have about 3k to play around with. Yet, there are good ways to make money.

Start off with horses and sell the foals once they become adults. That way, when its time to add onto the home you got the money.

I did it twice, once with a sim and then a couple. It seems about the same.

There is a varying amount for each person that is added to the family from CAS: $2000 per adult, $1500 per teen, $1000 per child and $500 per toddler.

I think you start with a little extra when you have a pet, too, but I don't know how much.

The starting money you get for pets is $250 per cat/dog and $500 per horse.
