Some people have said that they didn't know entirely what Twallan's Mods do. Well, I have typed up a list of all the Mods of his, and what most of them do. When I noticed it was a Core Mod, I have added that in. Some of these mods do not have a description - if you could tell me what these Mods do, I'll edit them in.
Twallan Mods in a nutshell.
AnimatorAnimator provides a range of animations, useful for Machinima creators. You click on a Sim, choose NRaas > Animator then pick the desired animation.
https://www.nraas.net/community/AnimatorAntiMagicScrollWhen a Sim finishes using an item that is destroyed after using (EG A Recipe Book) - this Mod will replace the item used. For instance, you Learn Ambrosia, and then you still have the recipe after learning it.
https://www.nraas.net/community/AntiMagicScrollCareersProvides a range of Careers for your Sims to take on. Also includes Trade Schools for teens. If you ever intend to download Custom Careers, download the Base Mod for this first. It is required to run most Custom Careers. (Thanks wednesday21)
https://www.nraas.net/community/CareersConsignerFixes issues with the Consignment Store and allows you to sell more items.
https://www.nraas.net/community/ConsignerDebugEnablerUnlocks Debugging commands to fix corrupted, stuck, or otherwise harmed Sims. Debug Commands are created by EA.
https://www.nraas.net/community/DebugEnablerDecensorRemoves the blur - BUT you can set conditions for when it is displayed.
https://www.nraas.net/community/DecensorDreamerAlters Wishes. Unlocked Wishes are satisfied when the criteria are met. So if your Sims' wish is to, say, reach level 6 of cooking, and you reach it and nothing happens, this Mod fixes it. Wishes filled by inactive Sims will provide LTHP, and, if altered, will stop the timeout of unlocked wishes. So no 4 hour revolving window!
https://www.nraas.net/community/DreamerDresserWill alter the outfits of Sims around town, and can blacklist certain CAS items.
https://www.nraas.net/community/DresserErrorTrap - Core Mod
Will prevent unloadable save games. Corruption Errors that can't be fixed will be trapped and logged (dumped into a file so that you can see what happened) so the Save file can load anyway.
https://www.nraas.net/community/ErrorTrapGoHereThe "Go Here" command can now be stacked. Ghosts won't leave graveyards, a common error with "Visit Community Lot" is fixed, and Inactive Sims will be less likely to Go Home when they're visiting a lot where your Sim is also visiting.
https://www.nraas.net/community/GoHereHomeOpenerPretty simple - when a Residential lot loads, the inside of the house will be displayed.
https://www.nraas.net/community/HomeOpenerMasterControllerMy favorite Mod ever. Allows many, many new functions. A menu is added to every Lot, Sim and Computer in town, as well as City Hall. It is totally manual, so you have to do it all yourself. It enables you to manage your entire population at once. MasterController has the following Modules: Cheats, Integration, Progression and Expanded Tattoo. Cheats is simply a bunch of Cheat-y interactions - exactly what Esther loves.
I can't condense Integration into a paragraph, so if someone can, please tell me and I'll edit it in here. I'm also not 100% clear on Progression, but it requires twallan's StoryProgression Mod. Expanded Tattoo gives more locations for tattoos to be placed.
https://www.nraas.net/community/MasterControllerMoverAllows you to move more than eight Sims in the "Move house" dialog box from the phone or computer. Also removes the restriction where you need to have an adult in the moving household.
https://www.nraas.net/community/MoverNoCDYou can run the game without the CD.
https://www.nraas.net/community/NoCDOnceReadWhen directed to "Read Something" on a bookshelf, Sims will now pick items that are unread.
https://www.nraas.net/community/OnceReadOverwatchPerforms general tasks at 3AM to help speed up your game, like removing useless cars around town. Cleans up stuck Sim, turns off stereos/tvs.
https://www.nraas.net/community/OverwatchPacker is more like S3PE, and is not really a Mod, so I am not including it in this list.https://www.nraas.net/community/PackerPorterMakes it possible to Import and Export entire town's worth of Sims, which preserves relationships across households.
https://www.nraas.net/community/PorterPortraitPanelExtends the limit of portraits on the left hand side of your screen to 24.
https://www.nraas.net/community/PortraitPanelRegisterSims who perform roles (Tattoo artists, Stylists, Bouncers etc) can keep their role and have careers. You can also choose who you want to perform roles around town. It can be used to turn off stray animals.
https://www.nraas.net/community/RegisterRelationshipPanelYou can interact with Sims via the relationship panel. If you hover over a portrait in the relationship panel, it will display a number corresponding to the relationship of the Sims. Ctrl+Click removes relationships.
https://www.nraas.net/community/RelationshipPanelRelativityAlters the passing of time in game. You can eat, sleep, poop and skill faster.
https://www.nraas.net/community/RelativityRetunerAllows you to edit ITUN files ingame - meaning you control what interactions are autonomous.
https://www.nraas.net/community/RetunerSaverPeriodically prompts you to save your game. You can alter the settings - how often in Sim time, what Sim time, how often in real time. The Saves have a number at the end and cycle through 1-4. So you will have SunsetValley1.sims3, SunsetValley2.sims3, SunsetValley3.sims3 and SunsetValley4.sims3. It utilizes the "Save As..." option, not "Save". (Thanks wednesday21)
https://www.nraas.net/community/SaverSecondImageAllows you to click on the left hand image of notifications. When a portrait is highlighted, what the Sim knows about the Sim highlighted will be displayed.
https://www.nraas.net/community/SecondImageSelectorAllows slightly more functionality, such as moving debug interactions to the cheat menu (thanks twallan!)
https://www.nraas.net/community/SelectorShoolessYou can choose whether your Sim will shoo people who walk into the bathroom while they are using it.
https://www.nraas.net/community/ShoolessSleepFreedomBed sharing restrictions are lifted. Two enemies can sleep together.
https://www.nraas.net/community/SleepFreedomStoryProgressionAn improved version of EA's Story Progression. It has numerous modules to advance your custom Story Progression. (Thanks wednesday21) For further information, read
this post. (Thanks Seera1024)
https://www.nraas.net/community/StoryProgressionTempestTempest alters the weather systems in game - basically it lets you create "weather profiles" and lets you alter weather on a town-by-town basis.
https://www.nraas.net/community/TempestTrafficEnable/Disable Late Night taxi traffic, food truck and ice cream truck interactions in suburban worlds like Sunset Valley or Appaloosa Plains. You have to have Late Night to use this mod. Caution: it may cause lag, just like the one you experience in Bridgeport with low-end computers, or worse. (Thanks wednesday21)
https://www.nraas.net/community/TrafficTravelerEnables you to travel to ANY world - SV to BP for instance. And if Travelling fails for some reason, the incident is logged so you can find out what went wrong.
https://www.nraas.net/community/TravelerUntranslatedKey - Core Mod - Not recommended for most players
Is a core mod that overrides a certain EA core file, allowing the user to see raw string keys when no translation data is available. This is definitely not a mod for causal players. In my opinion, it's mainly for modders or those who want to dig deep and explore each part of their game. (Thanks wednesday21)
It's only real purpose is for Modders who are beta testing their Mods. If a Mod injects a custom string via an STBL, UntranslatedKey allows a Modder to see the FNV Hash of what's required.*
https://www.nraas.net/community/UntranslatedKeyVectorAdds Diseases to your game, also acts as a platform to allow other Disease Mods, similar to how Careers lets you add in more Custom Careers.
https://www.nraas.net/community/VectorWoohooerModules include Kama Simtra and Scoring. Trait Scoring (scoring based on romantic interactions) is enabled. Kama Simtra makes WooHoo a skill. It provides a wide variety of options to control the way your sims woohoo, the chances of baby boom and how often they do it. Although it includes the ability to enable teen pregnancy and romance interactions, this is completely up to the user to configure as you need additional equipment for this part of the mod to work correctly (it's disabled by default). (Thanks wednesday21)
https://www.nraas.net/community/WoohooerWrittenWordAdds books written by Sims to the bookstore under General books.
https://www.nraas.net/community/WrittenWordHope this helps.
*Expanded:
Basically, when a string is created (a string is what a Programmer calls a line of text. So for instance, "Friendly Hug" is a string), a Modder has to Hash their key, then write an STBL providing information on what that Hash means. So for instance, a simplified version is this:
path/to/base/string
Hashed: 0x0039020975EIH9235
0x0039020975EIH9235 = "Eat Pumpkin Soup"
This is not what a real Mod would look like, but it is a simplified version.
