When to uninstall Mods?

Currently I'm using MasterController, MasterController Cheats, Overwatch and WrittenWord, all by Twallan. I know I should uninstall them when I patch my game, but are there any other instances when I have to uninstall them? Like installing a new EP?

Not really. Unless you are going to reinstall your game from scratch or a new version (with additions or fixes) of the mod is out, in my opinion it, is unnecessary to uninstall your mods if they are not bothering you.

If you're game is already patched to the appropriate level for the mods, and installing the new EP doesn't change it, then you shouldn't even have to worry about it.

Will just moving the whole mods folder to another location remove them from the game?

Yes, Moving the mods folder removes them from the game.
I general just move mine to the desktop  to find it easily when updating the The Sims, then move it back when it's finished.

No if there is no other patch than 1.31. As far as I know, the only thing you have to make sure your mods are compatible with are patch levels.

I can confirm that there was no new patch to install after I installed Showtime, so your mods should be perfectly fine.  I likewise didn't move mine and they still work as they're supposed to.

*sigh* I got to play with my mods for a little while before 1.31. I removed them to install the patch, waited till they were updated then came 1.32. I was just going to reinstall them and now we apparently have 1.33.

Guess I'll wait some more.

  Nope, I installed it on my pc

You should also uninstall them when you switch families, because when I switch families with mods, the next day my game gets corrupted

Something is wrong in your game then AdnaanA because you certainly do not have to uninstall them for that.
