Can you explain more about moving them away? Will they move to another home? Will I be playing with the sons or with the parents then?

You can also move the parents away without going into Edit Town.  Have one of the parents use a cell phone or computer and chose "Move."  If you have enough money, you can choose a new house for them to buy and it will come out of your household funds.  Then you just choose which Sims are moving out and make sure the house with the sons is the active household.  When that's done, the parents will just leave the house and go to the new one.  They will disappear from the left side of the screen and you will no longer control them.  If you don't have the money, you can still do this same thing with moving them, except instead of choosing a house for them, you click the "Kick Out" option on the screen where you choose who is moving.  They will still leave the house and your control, but they will find their own house to live in.  It can be any house in town that is vacant.  They will just move into it and nothing is taken from your household funds.  If you want to know where they will be living, you'll have to follow them when they leave.  Use the pause feature to keep up with them because they go pretty fast.

Now, if you want them to just die, you can do what Swede said and trigger their age progression with ctrl-shift-C "testingcheatsenabled true."  Once testing cheats is turned on, you can shift click the active Sim and select "Trigger Age Transition" and if the Sim is an elder, the next age transition is death.  They will just peacefully die and Grim Reaper will come for them.  It's easy and painless.

I want to build a second story (or floor) for the house, but every time I try I get lost. I think I need help with building. Can I find this here?

We have an article written by TommyT on the guide for beginning building, but it doesn't cover second stories.  Why don't you start a new topic for this on the Miscellaneous Help board.  You can call it "How Do I Build a Second Story" and I'm sure you'll get lots of help.

Now my sim wants to "go jogging" , I took him to the park but I couldn't make him start jogging. What should I do?

Try clicking on the curb several lots away and choose "go here". Now in your top left corner, change the setting of the walk to jogging and your sim should jog there. :)

You can also click the ground where you want to go and select "Jog Here" from the options that appear.  Then you can set the tone in the upper corner, depending on the level of athletic skill, such as "Don't Break a Sweat" or "Good Pacing."  You need to have at least some athletic skill to be able to jog at all, but your Sim probably has it already if the wish to jog came up.

I click on the bookshelf and select the book then I put the book on a table ... then I click the book as my Sim but the only option that comes up is "put away" there is no "read" or something like this! .... how can i make him read the book ?

Click on the bookshelf, then click "Read" and a list of all the books in that shelf that he can read will come up.  Select the book and say "OK."  You don't have to remove the book from the bookshelf for him to read it.  You can also click a book in your inventory and click "Read" and it will do the same thing.

Umm, Pam, I think you meant to say, click, "open bookshelf", that is where the list of the books are.

No, I also get an option to actually "Read" directly from clicking on the bookshelf.  Then it pulls up which books in that shelf my Sim can read.  I'm thinking the trouble jerseygirl had was from opening the bookshelf and taking a book from it, then trying to read the book.  It might have been a book her Sim couldn't read, but by clicking "Read" directly on the bookshelf, it only shows the books your Sim can read.

I think there's also an option to "Read Something" where the Sim just grabs whatever book to read.  But if you click "Read" you get to choose the book.
