(Xbox) townies - how do I know who's related to whom?

Hi, I've got aging turned off but story progression on. Vicky Pollard had a baby (that she always leaves on the floor, why don't any of the townie parents get a crib? My sim Jacob had to change the nappy (diaper) of a neighbour's toddler and put her to bed - this family were the only one to have a crib - I'm not sure the toddler actually wanted to go to bed though...lol), but I can't work out who the father is.

And there are four Landgraab's. I think Malcolm is the father, Adrien and Hannalore his children and there's a toddler, but I'm not sure there's a Mrs Landgraab. I'm confused. In my sim Jacob's friends list, Only two sims are listed as partners, the rest have no relationship status (I'm talking about romantic relationship to other townie sims not friendship with Jacob).

Maybe I've missed something? Or is there no way to find out?

I'm doing Sims 3 Pets now, but I remember the Landgraabs when I first played the Sims 3.  I think Malcolm and Hannelore are married.  I know he is a little older, but one of Hannelores' traits is snob which I guess means she likes the good and rich life.  I know what you mean about babies being left on the ground and such.  The first time my sim went for a walk at night, I noticed a baby outside on the grass!  And because you don't know the family well enough, you can't pick it up.  This happens in Pets also.  Some homes will have like one bed and 5 people plus pets living there, really strange!  I guess to answer your question is to just have Jacob acquaint himself with the townies and I think the relationships will show in his list.

Yeah when i found that out i was very shocked indeed but then i thought hmm maybe shes a gold digger! Then of course i got to know her as a friend and she was really nice to my shock lol I guess i thought way to much into it lol 

I really do not know who this jacob guy is i have not came across him myself.

I am currently married to a Landgraab (Hennelore) in the game. Adrien is Malcom and Hennalore's son (if you marry Hennalore and have a kid, then half-brother) Hennalore and Malcom were married, but I broke them up, and married Hennalore.

When I played Sims 3 (I'm on Sims Pets now), my sim also broke up that marriage! Then I changed Hannelores' look because I didn't like it.

@Breerents I did not change her look. But luckily I got my heir (playing a legacy), Samantha, a few days before Hennalore's elder birthday. Now Hennalore is dead, and Samantha has a kid. But my founder is still alive. I hope he dies but then again I do not. He brings in 2.9k each day (International Super Spy). And he is our family cook. But if he dies Samantha and Todd (Todd is my husband in-game) get his bedroom and my toddler gets Samantha and Todd's bedroom.

How many generations do you need for a legacy?

I'm really not following a certain rule set, but it is usually 10. I am just playing it till I get bored. And my founder finally died. I moved Samantha and Todd in the founder's room and moved my 3rd Generation into Samantha and Todd's old room. Here is my generation list.
Founder: Jeff and wife Hennalore
2nd Generation: Samantha and husband Todd
3rd Generation: Peter (currently a teenager)

I got to the 5th generation when I was playing Sims 3, then it crashed .  I am now playing Sims 3 Pets and am on the 3rd generation.  I have an elder, Kasey and his son, Max.  Kasey has 2 sons not living with him.  I am not sure if I want him to marry his love interest and move the kids in yet.  That might be too many for me to handle. Kasey has 35 days of life left  and Max is a budding rock star.  I think Max will reach his lifetime wish while still a young adult and I'll have him start a family then.
But now I remember that Max is adopted!  Does that count toward legacy??

I don't know. Good question. I am just playing a random legacy, no rules. Just seeing how far I get. My teen just made best friends with Larissa Fink. Is there a scent of love in the air?
