    Smuggsworth Prep

Lot Type: Community - Visitors Allowed
    Lot Size: 50 x 50
    Price: Furnished - $349,731
              Unfurnished - $211,824
Content: All EPs (minus Showtime), All SPs, No Store Content

Description: Smuggsworth Prep is the place to be for those aspiring to be Smuggsworth Boarding School students. Smuggsworth Prep has four classes; Logic, Painting, Writing, and Charisma. It also boasts a Library, Cafeteria, and gender specific dormitories.

This is Smuggsworth Prep from the curb. We chose to keep the landscaping simple and sophisticated. The building is 4 stories, plus a basement. The middle area of the building contains the staircases. Each floor contains gender specific restrooms.

This is the library where your Smuggsworth bound children can cozy up in front of the fireplace with a book.

This is the cafeteria where Smuggsworth Prep will prepare your kids' tastebuds for exotic cuisine.

This is the Art Class. It focuses on the development of the Painting skill, but the drafting tables allow for fashion and architecture research, as well. This class can hold six students. The decorations in the middle of the class can be changed out to bring in new scenes of inspiration.

This is the Writing Class. This class can hold six students.

This is the Charisma Class. This class can hold eight students.

And finally we have the Logic Class. There are three telescopes, two chemistry tables, and four chess tables. This class can hold thirteen students.

Smuggsworth Prep has two dormitories; one for male students, and one for female students. Each dorm sleeps eight students. The dormitory floor also contains two showers per dorm.

Smuggsworth Prep believes physical activity is important as well, and so in the basement, students will be able to exercise in the pool. There is also a laundry room, so the students will not have to return home every weekend to get their laundry done.

Playtime and fresh air are also important to Smuggsworth Prep. Students have access to a large playground in the back yard of Smuggsworth Prep. There is also a picnic area for visiting families.

Smuggsworth Prep with prep your child or teen for Smuggsworth Boarding School, and if you'd like your children to attend Smuggsworth Prep, you may download it here:

Welcome to Fort Starch Military Academy.

Here at Fort Starch our focus is on creating future members of our Sim-nations military. You may be wondering why our establishment is surrounded by tough unyeilding mountains this is so that our students are not distracted by blue skies, rainbows or any other atistic ideals.

Here you can see the impressive entrance foyer where our pupil's trophies are proudly displayed. In this shot you can also see the creche. We find that visiting parents sometimes need a place for their little ones to stay while they talk to the staff. You can also see the reception area.

    Here we have the library.

Here we have the indoor swimming pool and the gym. We have both boys and girls locker rooms. Athletics is a very important skill for our pupils and we encourage them to partake in a wide variety of sports.

In this overhead shot of the ground floor you can see the dinning hall and kitchen. The kitchen also boasts the schools laundry facilities.

On the first floor we have six class rooms. Please note that the inventing/handiness classes have showers in them so as to avoid accidents. There is two handiness classes,a logic class,a computer studies room,a lecture hall,a chemistry class, teachers lounge, teachers dinning area and staff toilets.

Also, feel free to request a home by PMing me! Always happy to help.

Hey guys I'm taking an extended hiatus... again. I'm out of ideas to build houses and I don't have as much fun designing homes like I used to; it feels more like a chore. So that's where I'll be, I will probably be back sometime. :P

Looks like I'll miss out on entering this competition too :'(

    LeFromage Art School

Lot Type:  Community - Visitors Allowed

    Lot Size:  60 x 60

    Price:  Furnished - $1,875,262
               Unfurnished - $999,703

Content:  All EPs (less Showtime), All SPs, No Store Content

Welcome to LeFromage Art School the Modernist Ideal for the Artistically Inclined.

We'll begin our tour with the second level of basement.  Here you'll find our staff housing.  It contains several private apartments and public laundry facilities.  It also is home to a hot tub, and a pool area to allow our staff members to relax.

Going up one floor to the first level of basement we have the laundry facilities for the children - with plenty of seating so they can relax or study while waiting if they wish.  This level also houses an entertainment and party room for students and staff with a dance floor, foosball, shuffleboard and darts.  We believe that having fun is intrumental in the development of creativity and wished to provide our students with a safe place to have fun with their classmates.  We also have a gym area with showers to help reduce stress and encourage good health.

The ground floor contains our main entrance with plenty of seating and lovely fountains designed by previous graduates.  Here we also have our classrooms - Two for Piano, One for Photography, One for Charisma, One for Painting, and One for Sculpting.  Our library, with plenty of seating and quiet, is also located on this floor.

The top floor contains your children's dorm rooms.  Each child is allowed to decorate his or her room according to their tastes to help stimulate their creativity.  On the left we house our older teenaged students and on the right our younger students.  Both halls include communal bathrooms seperated by gender and a small communal kitchen.  We've included a sitting area on the teenagers' side and a play area on the children's side.

We have a small cafeteria that serves a varity of foods for all our students and staff.

Our grounds include several lovely garden spots and walkways to stimulate the mind and senses or allow one to sit quietly and drink in the scenery.  We've included in those gardens a wide variety of plants so our students will never want for artistic subject matter.

The grounds also include a playground with swings, a slide, a playhouse, a seesaw, a treehouse, and two hopscotch courts.

We have a positively stunning pool area to tempt our students outside for a little fun in the sun when they are done with their studies.

We also have a bandstand so that groups of students can perform for their peers.

We hope that you enjoyed our tour.  You are welcome to wander the grounds for a more in depth look.  Download here.

Builders Note:  This is a beast of a file and can take a long time to load.  If you have a slower machine you may wish to exercise caution.

Builders Note Two:  This is the first time I've entered a building contest here, so I hope that I have done this correctly.

    Building Contests 2012-Long, March: A Boarding School for Simkids and Simteens - March 1, 2012 - March 28, 2012
        Ashel Veh!

Congratulations Ashel Veh! What a way to join the forum by winning the Building Contest, that and with such an amazing boarding school! You can see Ashel Veh's Entry here and download it here.

    Ashel Veh's Comment:

"Thank you to everyone who participated - whether it was in creating the contest or in entering the contest - your efforts are greatly appreciated.  I was both shocked and thrilled that so many people liked my work.  You have no idea how much that means to me.  I even did my own little "happy dance!"

I was asked what I liked about my entry, which makes me feel a trifle immodest and thus uncomfortable, but I think the favorite part of my build was the pool area.  I love that pool!  Quite frankly, if I could transfer that pool from my computer screen to my backyard we wouldn't be having this conversation because I would be out by the pool and you would never be able to pry me away from it!!   ;)

Once again, thank you so much!"

Congratulations Ashel Veh!  :D The Thread is now open for Comments!
