Just so you know, and I'm sorry Pam if this is too off topic, but I feel this is very important for me to stress. You are taking a huge risk right now, playing your game on a graphics chip, causing your distorted pets. Sims 3 is a very graphic intensive game, and your graphics chip is too weak to render creatures with heavy details like this. If you keep playing, you will destroy your GPU, also damaging the motherboard, where the graphics chip is attached, and thereby totaling your computer.
Pam is right. You will be disappointed when your pets don't improve after a new patch. A new graphics card is a huge improvement and well worth the wait.
