Which Country Do You Prefer? WA
« on: February 27, 2012, 02:31:04 PM »
Since I just got WA (Already have Ambitions) I was wondering which country is best and "more fun" to have a vacation home in, I have been considering France but... Egypt seems nice and so does China!  :-\ So I will base my decision on the votes to this poll~

I prefer Chiina for the locals. But, for adventuring, I prefer Egypt. france is OK; but, the locals are boring and the tombs are so so.
Had vacation homes in each location and the ones in China all came to the party. In France a handful came and in Eygpt, not many. My sim was almost best friends in each country.

China does it, and if your an artist, great places for painting.

I don't often buy vacation homes.  They don't have adventure boards in front of them, and so getting adventures will still necessitate going to the base camp.  If you're still adventuring in a country, you will often spend most trips foregoing the use of your villa, anyways.

I buy the homes because I hate being bothered in the base camp. Also, you get publicly disgraced if you WooHoo in the base camp. Besides, my sim throws parties and it's fun to watch the locals act up. I was shocked to see which ones were always skinny dipping when they came, even without party animal trait.

Welcome to our Forum, warr.

I'm sorry, but I removed the poll from this topic.  We only use polls when the Administrators and Moderators need to gather some specific information from our members.  I think just the discussion here will do fine for what you're interested in.

My Sims spend the most time in China.  It's mostly because that's where I go when I need money.  Other than that, I'd say Egypt is my least favorite.

The country I prefer would be Egypt, probably mostly because I've always loved learning about Egypt irl and it's so cool to go into pyramids or go visit the Sphinx!

The country I spend the most time in, though, would be China, since there is the best place to start your adventuring for obtaining Pangu's Axe and you learn the Martial Arts trait there and can rank up in the Martial Arts Tournament.

Still, pyramids and the general feel of Egypt makes it my favourite place for a vacation!

Ok Pam<,

Also I think this is what the countries are like:

Egypt: Adventures/Tombs
France: Scenery
China:???

I can't seem to find a vacation home that catches my eye in china but just a question, Is china good for adventuring too and has harder dungeons instead of the easy one's in France?
( I have a home in France)

There is a lot of adventuring in China in fact I almost always adventure in China first because that's where you get the item Pangu's Axe which destroys giant boulders in all the other countries.    There is also adventuring in Egypt and France.  Each vacation spot has adventuring, a new skill to learn, new places to visit and scenery.  It all depends on what you like.  I personally always build my vacation homes instead of buying a premade one.

There is also this one adventure in China called telescopic metals that shows you where every metal is in China. One day of collecting and then smelting can net 50K+.

China is always my first stop because I want to get Pangu's Axe as soon as possible and I love having a sim with Martial Arts skills - one day I want to have a complete gem collection and one of the easiest ways to get it is to have a MA sim break space rock blocks.  The downside of China is that the vacation homes aren't that impressive.  Usually I have my sims buy the large home in the Forbidden City.  A few minor tweaks and it is great!

Egypt is my favorite country for adventuring because the tombs are much more complex than either China or France.  If you have a skilled photographer sim you can make lots of money taking pictures of pyramids and the Sphinx.

France is the prettiest of the three countries in my opinion and has the single best vacation home in the game - the abandoned nectary.  This house is awesome, but it can be glitchy - the terraced gardens gave me some awful pathing problems in my Starr Immortal Dynasty.  The adventuring is okay in France and it is nice to pick up the nectar making skill there, but it is usually the last place I visit.

I downloaded a home when WA first came out that I used. Then (sorry, can't remember the person who made it) on this site I downloaded Zenadu. Wonderful home for China!
China has better scenery than France, especially if your a painter and the locals are more friendly. If your into martial arts, you can kick *** with the locals. Also for chess players, ther's a lot of locals who like to compete.
Besides, I prefer Chinese food and I live in France.

Apart from the fact that everyone there is quite high level in MA   ;)

Not so. If you have a high atheletic skill, you can kick ***. To become a Kung Fu master, you need to spar with many sims, so it doesn't matter if they re higher. You learn from them. It's hard at home to find peolpe to spar with to be able to become the best. But, in China, you can keep on sparring with friends and get there.

China was always my favourite.  I saved Egypt for last and I enjoyed it too.  I couldn't really get much interested in France, however when I went back after many months away I found a tomb that I had missed it the first time.   ;D

I used to end up buying a house when my sim's visa got extended and I had mostly finished exploring the tombs.

France is my favourite, I think it's the prettiest world. China is okay, and I haven't really done a lot in Egypt yet. From what I've seen, the houses aren't too nice, but the tombs are amazing fun.

I actually like them all the same. :P I've only ever visited China once, France a couple of times and Egypt the most. I think each town has different qualities depending on what you're interested in. France is the place for artistic sims and sims that are interested in nectar-making, China is for martial arts and is in my opinion the prettiest of the destinations, Egypt is for photography and you get the most risky adventures there, though China is probably the best first stop if you have an adventure sim so you can get your hands on Pangu's Axe. :)
