TommyT,

We will likely take you up on that offer. Carl and I are working out some details at the moment. I'll send you an email when we've got it sorted out. Thank you!

I had a nice chat with Carl about writing the guides and articles for Ambitions.  He wants to write all of the new Profession Guides himself so they will all be the same format. These will probably be short and to the point. Then the other writers will take up the guides for the Lifetime Wishes that are connected to the new Professions.  At the moment, we've got Metro doing the Sculpter LTW, Carl doing the Ghost Hunter LTW, TommyT wants to do Firefighter LTW, and Leto is interested in Inventing. I'll do the Architect LTW.  I'll get the actual names of the LTWs soon so we know exactly what we're talking about.

Moderators - if you want to get involved in writing articles for the guide, now is the time to speak up.  You guys get dibs on what's left.  Let me know if anything tickles your fancy.  For the present time, however, I want everyone to just play the game for at least a couple of days to get a good feel for it so we can intelligently answer questions.  Then we'll start giving our definite assignments and start writing.

Pam, unless I'm mistaken (always a possibility) there is no specific Sculpting LTW. It's bundled into the new Descendant of da Vinci LTW where you max Inventing, Sculpting, and Painting. So, for now, that's what I'll grab and edit the first post accordingly.

I'm claiming the Fashion Phenomenon LTW walkthrough.  I also updated the list to show the exact names of all the LTWs in Ambitions.  I think Carl might be claiming Paranormal Profiteer, but I'm not certain.  I'll update the list when I get confirmation.

I updated traits and wishes guides and got those little screenshots of the icons on the server for all the LTW walkthroughs I'm going to get in my mailbox. Next up I'll probably do the stylist career guide, but I feel like a little break for the day :)

I updated the first post to reflect Tom's and my finished articles and I was unaware that Leto and Pam had been communicating on Monster Maker, so I put Leto down as the official person for that. Thanks for volunteering, Leto. We appreciate it.

No, thank you Metro! I really apreciate it that I can write this guide. :) I was already thinking on how to plan and do this, but didn't started it yet, because of the uncertainty. :)
Maybe in the future I need to inform you to, because I thought that what I write to Pam or to you about questions about the guide or anything that has to do with it, you both would get to know.

Pam rarely communicates with me about anything. I didn't even know I had been promoted to Admin until like two weeks after the fact.  :D

Seriously, we all keep in touch on a daily basis. All tidbits of info get passed around eventually. Thanks again for helping out, Leto.

No problem. You may know how much I love inventing. :) But the only thing that I am afraid off what my inventing sim can overcome while I am writing the guide is that he travels back in time, changing the timeline in the past, and therefore his total family chain, resulting in coming back as like he has ondergoes a midlife crisis which will give him a new lifetime wish. Talking about a paradox.
And than there goes my guide! Do I have to totally start over than or keep playing until I get enough LTR to buy another midlife crisis? I will use that time machine though, because my sim can get practicall stuff from using it.

If it were me, then I would not risk using the time machine while writing the Guide article. I know that traveling to the past and future grants nice happiness points, but if it can also royally mess things up, then you may want to just stick to what needs to be done to complete the article and leave the extras for later.

Yes, maby that is the best option indeed. But mostly I just couldn't resist using the time machine. But for writing for the guide I think I need to make an exception for a change. Although with pain in my heart. :P I can't write while strugling through paradox errors though of course.
But is it not an option to when things really gone bad to get back to my previous save file? I am not aware of that this may be one of the higher dont's while writing a guide, because I thought getting back to a previous save file when things gone bad in one of your challenges was out of the question I believe. Thinking of that: I am not even aware of other do's and dont's for guide writing. Of course I can and will read other guids about fullfilling lifetime whishes, but even than, I can't read there what I may not aloud to write, because it would simply be not there.
It will be my first guide though and I wanted it to be at least perfect and therefore you can expect a few or more questions from me. Hope you don't mind though. :) Of course, you can send me to other guide writers if you think that will be the best option.

Edit: A few posts above you've used the word 'tidbits'. It is one of the few words I had need to translate, but my translate page didn't provide me with an translation. So, what does it mean?
