Hi guys.  I just joined the forum after months of looking for tips and answers.  I play Sims 3 and Sims 3 Pets on the Xbox 360.  I really want to play on PC but my desktop and budget won't allow it.  I am only into week 16 of Pets, but I am learning things.  I hope we can share tips and whatnought. :)

Hi, I'm in the same position (also Xbox)! There's so much more for the PC but I do love the challenges and karma powers (I've only used the good ones so far...), and a good enough laptop costs a whole heap. If only I could pay in simoleons as my couple have built up a nice little savings pot. I'm sticking to Sims 3 for the moment, one of my Sims in Sims 3 Pets after several sim weeks of hard work  lost her voice, it was really weird and quite frustrating.

What do you think of Moonlight Bay? I liked at first, but the bit I like best is where you start opposite the Pity Committee Community Park, but it has the smallest bungalows. It's great to be able to nip across the road and socialise and fish, play chess, and then nip home when the poor sim starts thinking of sleep. Jacob's lifetime wish is to be surrounded by family. But the first place you get is too small. It gives me a headache to keep track of sims over two floors so a bungalow is perfect. The only other one I like is where I think Herger Monroe or Vicky Pollard lives near the community garden. But I don't think the garden is as nice as the other community park.  Jacob's an angler so it wouldn't suit him. I'll probably have to change his lifetime wish.

I've picked up quite a few tips from this site and forum (thanks!) but I've still got so many questions! Especially about building.

I am not new to the sims in general, been playing the sims since the original game :p (The Sims Online is still my favorite game of all time, miss it :[). Anyway, glad to see there are others out there wanting to learn more about the Xbox version of the Sims 3. I have both Sims 3 and Pets, though i only play Sims 3 more due to the Pets being very.....very laggy i guess?

I found that creating multiple families and such is a great way to learn more about the game and see what options are available. I have many saved families on my game but i mostly play my main family and based off of what i learned, positive/negative from my random families i have saved, it has made my game play much better :]. I'll be looking into finding out more tips and looking to help out if i can :]!

With Sims 3: pets on the Xbox, there is a cheat. it gives you unlimeted money, and a few kharam powers and unlimited happiness and karmah points. But it stops you from doing challenges. You can still solve mysteries and do other stuff, but not challenges.
The cheat is start, then leftbutton, right button, right trigger, left trigger at the same time. :D I use it, I NEVER not use it.... if that makes sense.. :P
Expansion packs I own:World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets, Showtime, Supernatural and Seasons.
