Ambrosia Confusion
« on: February 25, 2012, 12:49:41 AM »
Hi everyone! So I have been playing sims for years now but have never heard of ambrosia. I know what it does but I have no idea how to get it or what I need to do to be able to use it! Any thing helps!

Welcome to our Forum, DeeAnn.

There's a great explanation of Ambrosia on Carl's Guide.  Click here to view.

Ambrosia is a dish that level 10 cooks can buy the recipe for at the book shop. It's made with death fish and life fruit. When eaten, it takes a Sim back to the start of their current life phase.
Have a look here at this article for all the info on it    Ambrosia

lol, snap

I personally find ambrosia too tedious. If you can make a young again potion, you don't need to run around catching fish and growing life fruit.

Haha!  We were two minutes apart posting!  ;D

That's very true, but the original poster is asking specifically about Ambrosia.

Young again potions don't bring ghosts back to life...

I hope you mean you have Life Fruit in your garden, because you don't grow Ambrosia.  ;)

Don't forget - you will also need deathfish.  You don't necessarily have to use the designated bait for deathfish (or the lower levels of this food chain), but it helps.  If you are playing in Sunset Valley, there are maps that show where you can catch all of these types of fish here:  http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/skills/fishing/sunset-valley-fishing-spots.php

The Ambrosia recipe is available at the bookstore for a mere 12,000 Simoleons.
