Mysterious ghost relocation

Hello everyone,
I have TS3 + WA + Ambitions + LN installed. I have a sim with the monster creator lifetime wish in my current household, I have already invented a simbot and summoned a mummy, and since I've read that ghosts count towards this wish as well, I decided I will have all 3 kinds of monsters, so I killed off one of his daughters with the intention of resurrecting her when I get the opportunity. Her grave being inside his inventory, I sent some of the other household members to a trip in China. When it was over and they were back home, I started waiting for the opportunity, but it didn't appear in a few sim weeks, I figured it's just because of all the sim's skills and the celebrity opportunities. However, I opened the family tree by accident and saw the actual reason: the sim-daughter was showing up alive, in her ghost form, even though her urn was in her father's inventory, and... living in China?! Obviously something bugged while my other sims were on that trip, so how do I fix this? Any help appreciated.

I don't know if there's a way to fix it.  Traveling is known to cause any number of bugs in the game.  It looks to me that it bugged the deceased daughter.

I would assume it's a glitch, going to the vacation destinations sometimes makes glitches happen. Maybe you can get her back by asking her to move in.

I figured as well Pam, but I thought I will first see if someone else worked around it before trying with another sim. And, simslover, I don't think the daughter actually lives there, but rather just the game considers her to, because when I leave the urn on the ground, she starts haunting like a regular ghost, and she doesn't show up as living in China anymore. That, and the fact that she is no longer available in the relationships list.

You might be able to get her remains at the cemetery.  Click on the mortuary and select Manage the Dead.  If her name is on the list you'll be able to put her urn in your inventory.  It may be pointless since you have an urn in inventory already, but it wouldn't hurt to try.
