Chapter 10 - Cook Out Recovery!
Mid-Life Crisis was something challenging to handle but I did my best...my cooking started to get more well known, I was asked to do things like dine at the finest restaurants.
Everything was going better...I purchased that park a while back so I decided the best way to embrace my new age was to return to the spot where I saw that Unicorn...and have a large cook-out party.
...Mags, my best friend came and was still looking for a man with money but I could only think about Jon.
He came and so did so many other people and they all began dancing and having a good time.
People had such a good time a few actually danced so hard they passed out.
We just let them lie where they fell and me and Jon danced the afternoon away, I felt all my stress melting away.
Jon: Throw your hands up, unh, unh, yes, there we go
Angel: Is that really how far your arms go honey...
Jon: ...Angel, sweetie, I'm like 20 years older than you, we're lucky my back hasn't gone out.
I think cooking hamburgers gave me the drive I needed and the dancing helped me recover from my fear of aging because as I returned home I had an hour to get dressed in my work uniform and run off to work.
So life was back to normal. I'd go to work, Jon would stay home with the family and spend time talking to 'Halo' the little bird he seemed very close friends with.
...not every work night was very good however, seeing as sometimes the stove would explode and I'd come home looking terrifying...
But Jon would just give me my space and assure me that he put little Black Forest to bed and go back to painting...and that's how I got over my mid-life crisis.
